Abramoff: I WAS SWIFT-BOATED!
Washingtonian magazine editor Kim Eisler, a personal friend of Jack Abramoff's, has posted excerpts from old emails he received from the imprisoned former lobbyist.
Nothing particularly new -- Abramoff is modest about his golfing abilities, and immodest about his power, access, and tickets to sporting events -- but they're a fun read nonetheless.
"Sue Schmidt is making a career out of me," Abramoff wailed to Eisler in a September 2004 e-mail, reacting to the Washington Post reporter unfurling the evidence against him in her paper. "seems [sic] I am on the front page of the Post more than Kerry is. She's my swift boat veterans all rolled into one." (Schmidt later won a Pulitzer prize for her reporting on the Abramoff scandal.)

Jack Abramoff on the Left: "It is not our job to seek peaceful coexistence with the Left. Our job is to remove them from power permanently." - No wonder the GOP likes him so much. Bush doesn't seem to know Jack Schitt, but I'll bet dollars to donuts he knows Jack Abramoff.

The only words I care to hear from this criminal is the names of those who took his money and did his bidding. As far as I am concerned, he is a traitor to this country and really should keep his mouth shut. Perhaps someone in his prison can teach him humility and remorse. I doubt it, but it would be nice!!!!

Swift boats?
When did Abramoff ever serve anyone but himself, much less his country?

Gosh. Just like Kerry, Abramoff was "swiftboated" by the truth.
Perhaps "swiftboating" is on it's way to it's rightful status as a commendable enterprise.

The WSJ ran two front-page puff piece articles on "Casino Jack"--why isn't their ombudsman or the Wash/Postinvestigating the payoff/quid pro quo for the free ads?
