GOP Silence Update: "We Haven't Seen the Letter"
Forget strategery. Time's short, so it's quantity of calls over quality. I've been calling GOP congresspeople alphabetically, starting with Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-AL), to get their thoughts on Virgil Goode's anti-Muslim immigration comments.
Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-AL): "I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to help you. We haven't seen the letter." (I offer to email a copy of the letter.) "I appreciate that but my boss is back in the district for Christmas, and I don't think this is going to be something he would want to address."
Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO): Offices closed.
Rep. Rodney Alexander (R-LA): Offices closed.
Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-AL): "I think the odds of me tracking down Mr. Bachus this afternoon are very low."
Rep. Richard Baker (R-LA): Offices closed.
Rep. J. Gresham Barrett (R-SC): Offices closed.
Rep. Roscoe Bartlett (R-MD): "Congressman Bartlett has not commented on it. . . I'm afraid I can't help you out there."
Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX): Offices closed.
Hmmm, Josh, are you trying to goad Bill O'Reilly into claiming that you are part of the alleged "War on Christmas" by playfully "threatening" Justin's Christmas? If so, I can only hope he takes the bait.

I think as soon as this happened, every GOP rep came to the same conclusion: Another idiot shot the rest of us in the foot. Don't bother packing your bags, just get home so your staff can tell people to bugger off.

This is off-subject, but I cringe at your use of "strategery." Our language is degraded enough without adopting the usage of George W. Bush. I understand this is done to mock our semiliterate president, but this insidious and corruptive practice takes hold, and has already resulted in too many Americans believing "misunderestimate" is correct.
We'll face a long uphill grind in trying to repair the damage Bush has done. I hope we can do it without using that ignorant man's speech. If you think my complaint has merit, please pass it on.

I second John Anderson's comment above. I hear the term "internets" (plural) all the stinkin' time now, and it is no longer clear when that usage is meant in mockery versus when it's being used by someone who really thinks that there are multiple internets out there. It was funny the first time the term was used, and hasn't been even vaguely clever since then.

If he wants to complain about Muslims being in office than complain about the Democratic system in Minnesota that got this guy arrested.
On the other hand though Ellison still has a lot of tough questions he needs to answer about his stances on gay marriage, women's rights and how he views Sharia law being applied in this country.

Justin, have you tried the office of Christopher Shays (the only remaining Republican Congressman in New England...)? He has a pretty strong base of ethnic supporters -- i.e., I wouldn't be surprised if he denounced Goode outright.
