Sampson Didn't Think of "Perception Problem"
Here Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) questions Kyle Sampson about whether it ever occurred to him when he was making the list of U.S. attorneys whether there would be a "perception problem" with firing U.S. attorneys in the middle of important investigations. Sampson says no.

Cardin hits the nail on the head. Regardless of whether an investigation was the motivating cause for termination, firing these USAs while in the midst of politically charged investigations created the perception that other USAs jobs were unsafe if they did not factor politics into their charging practices. Additionally, this perception was a reasonably foreseeable consequence of the firings. It is therefore reasonable to presume the creation of this perception, and that highly motivated, career-minded individuals (to wit: USAs) would heed such a perception. The fact that they do not personally prosecute these cases is a tone-deaf response: they have the ability to give or rescind support for the activities of their AUSAs. AUSAs know this and are unlikely to charge cases that they will not be supported on. In summation, this perception now has, intentionally or negligently, injected politics into USAs offices.

Sampson did nothing wrong. It was just the DOJ bungling the PR/execution of a legitimate decision to change several attorneys who failed to fully support main Justice priorities. Good line. They should have thought that one up before they fired them.
So, tell me, how did Kyle know these changes were so important to "Karl and Harriet", and why were they so important to them? Others here have asked it; I haven't heard a Senator ask it.

and that Orrin Hatch, is he a homo? he said, I'm going to resent anyone who doesn't treat Mr. Sampson, his former aide, well. Resent? please.
Its just way obvious how this group operates, they say it was performance problems but wasn't. Its not politics but it is. Is there a psychological term for that? is it parsing the truth? or just a perception problem?
I believe it was neither, I believe it was bungling of the highest order and ineptness married with sociopathic tendencies.

Alana- The psychological term is patholgical liars. It goes from dumbya all the way down to the lowest bushie. It's not something you would see in a person unless you spent enough time with him to catch all the lies. Maybe they gave them a psych test looking for liars.
