Interesting how he specifically says "talking to Karl Rove" Let's get those RNC emails and quick.

Somehow, I just don't believe that he would forget two conversations with Rove. And I certainly don't believe that he would state that something is important to Rove solely based on an "assumption."

Seems like we'll be seeing more of Kyle on the Republican scene. He obliquely pins the tail on the principals without piercing his own skin.
Pwd: profit. A likely outcome for Sampson.

Now it's just an assumption? Or were you, Mr. Sampson, sucking up to Rove with such asspumptions? (not exactly a misspelling)
Apparently, Mr. Rove had no objection to Mr. Sampson's "assumptions," nor did Mr. Rove's lackeys. Where do any of these folks take responsibility?
He came to work for the govt because he could serve? Wow.
What a surge of sucking up ass covering we've seen in the name of serving.
My taxpayer dollars at work? Hardly

Wasn't/isn't the entire Bush administration constantly vaunted for their emphasis upon loyalty and fealty to Bush/Cheney/Rove? Haven't we heard for six years what a 'tight ship' the White House was?
Why is it that every one of these scandals, from Scooter on down, is being painted as peons gone wild?

This is the moment that Sampson sets up the firewall for the WH. Whether Gonzales leaves or not, denial of WH involvement is critical for this issue to end at the DOJ.

Loyalty to narcissistic, unethical political oligarchs is much more important than the truth to Mr. Sampson.
What a lying sack of excrement. Despicable little man.

It's clear Rove was intimately involved with the firings and Sampson's non-denial-denial that Rove didn't ask him to fire Fitzgerald.
that Rove or one of Rove's minion's like did ask to fire Fitzgerald. Why not? Rove is above the law, he's the leader of the Republican mob, so I'm sure Rove's laughing right now as Sampson is testifying "he doesn't remember if Rove asked him to fire Fitzgerald. Rove knows he's untouchable and will ultimately admit to such involvement, because he believes, as Sampson does, "they have a right to hire and fire" any USA.
The question is how much longer Karl Rove will be allowed to maintain his Teflon appeal? Forever???

So, apparently nobody who testifies before Congress ever talks directly to or emails directly with Karl Rove. Everything is done via Rove's subordinates. That's an awful lot of power for those subordinates to have. Gee, they could order the DOJ to do practically anything, and DOJ would assume Karl wanted it done.

I'd ask Sampson if he has been involved in any discussions of how to protect the WH with respect to the firings scandal.

Just wanted to say, duh, Sampson is, as they say, still on the reservation. There was a lot of chatter here and there the other say about him turning on the WH. I think he's made it pretty clear today that he's still a loyal Bushie and a team playa to the end.
Code: with, as in "Sampson is still with the team."

Why didn't they ask him to discuss Griffin's own lobbying efforts that Sampson mentioned in one of his emails? Or what conversations he had with Griffin and whether Rove's name came up?
Lousy job by the Dems here.

What would happen to the GOP and the White House if Rove goes down?
code word: Rove is everything.

Sampson like all Republicans at hearings never remember much of anything they did together or talked about. Funny, when they are criticizing Democrats words or action, nothing is forgotten.

When are Scott Jennings and Sarah Taylor scheduled to testify as to the nature of their communications with Sampson and Rove re: Griffin's appointment?

They definately need to get an independent/special prosecutor to look into the RNC e-mails. I doubt that congress can get them on their own.

Silly willy nilly ol' bears:
Sampson did not need to 'communicate' with Rove(r) . . . As a clone budded off the most henious one, he genetically knows what his progenitor wants, needs and desires . . . He and the rest of his hell-spawn hive mates will die protecting their que-- . . . Hmmm . . . I'm sorry . . . Rove(r)

And who elected Karl Rove anything? Why does he have so much unchecked power? And why do people fear him so much? It surely is not charisma? Who is this Rasputin ? A fucking fascist nurd who should be executed for subverting the constitution. He is a goddam fascist and machiavellian of the worst kind. A pox on him and his ilk. I want them all to be tortured to death in the name of the people. This is the only kind of justice they deserve. They have ruined this country. I am leaving for anyewhere but this fucked up used to be land of the free. If the people of this country are so goddam stupid to elect these people and tolerate this kind of government, then, they can keep the country. Good luck and goodbye. I very much regret that I had to undergo service in Vietnam for this miserable country... the code i just entered to post is "profit"...yes, its what this country is all about. I am certain that it will go down soon and most people in the world will shed no tears.

I wonder if Sampson's voice is higher than normal. Maybe his testicles (the root of testimony) have risen along with his fear of displeasing Rove?

Maybe it would be fitting for the bush/rove/cheney junta to be tortured to death (these clowns obviously have inflicted torture and murder upon many thousands of innocent people), but then we'd be sinking to their level. Impeachment, conviction, life imprisonment will have to do, if we as a nation hope to recover even a shred of our lost dignity.
You're probably wise to be leaving this country soon... the US has generated a whole lot of bad karma recently, which is likely to be visited upon us sooner rather than later.

Every parse leaves a negative image. In this case, a fairly distinct and comprehensive one.
eg
Q: Did it happen?
A: Can't remember.
C(onclusion): It happened.
Q: Did he tell you?
A: We didn't talk about it.
C: They emailed or blackberried.
For a bunch of doublespeakers, some of then ex-USAs, the Dem senators aren't that flash. It'd be good if they could leave their scripts alone for a bit and un-parse when appropriate.

I wish Kennedy would have drilled down on this. He was wavering. Maybe Kennedy knew he was lying. I would have liked a follow up like this:
Well you wrote that you know that it is important to Harriet and Karl, yet you now say you just assumed it was important. Why didn't you write I assume this is important. There is a distinct difference to knowing and assuming, wouldn't you agree MR. Sampson?

I've known people like Sampson and Goodling in the business world, and they will shiv you in the back before you even know they have it out for you. What's amazing is the slow motion pace of Washington and it's lapdog press. With all we now know, any psych major can tell what has been happening the past six years. Stupid has rewarded stupid - and while before the dems had any oversight power it all worked just fine, we now have confirmation we have been painted into foreign policy and Constitutional corners by idiots. That being said, call Joe Congressman, NBC, CBS,ABC, CNN, and above all - Fox Noise - and tell them "ENOUGH."!
