Watchdog: If Iglesias Names Names, We'll Follow Through
On Tuesday, U.S. Attorney David Iglesias is expected to name Rep. Heather Wilson (R-NM) and Sen. Pete Domenici (R-NM) as the two lawmakers who called him in mid-October to pressure him about his office's investigation of a state Democrat.
As Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA) told The Washington Post and ethics expert Stanley Brand told McClatchy, Wilson's and Domenici's calls (as described by Iglesias) likely broke House and Senate ethics rules. But the question is whether the ethics committees would actually follow through with an investigation.
Well, Naomi Seligman Steiner of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Congress told me that if Iglesias named Wilson and Domenici, then CREW would "certainly" draft an ethics complaint against Domenici in the Senate and ask the House ethics committee to investigate Wilson.
Given the inert tendencies of the ethics committees in both houses, however, only a large amount of public pressure is likely to push them to investigate (e.g. ex-Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL)).

No comments in an ongoing investigation, ever again. And should the investigations ever end, well then I merely disagree with your characterization of the facts.

How did elected officials learn of the investigations in the US Attorneys office?
there may be several threads to pull to unravel more of this story
But the well oiled Republican machine seems to have some hiccups.

Down to brass tacks (sp?) ...the DAG who told the committee these attorneys were fired for reasons of performance should be indicted. IMMEDIATEDLY. He lied to Congress. Isn't that against the law? Play it like that, as it SHOULD be played, and you'll start getting the truth from Bushites. Let it pass, and you'll get a revolution.

At least in my opinion, (not that it wasn’t my tentative conclusion before now), it's clarified and confirmed that John Solomon was moved to the Washington Post much the same way the legitimate U.S. attorneys were "relieved of duty" making way for syndicated mouthpieces for the current global crime cartel which is the United States government and in particular the Bush administration. In his continual willingness to "play ball" with racketeers, John will not be forgotten, but rather remembered from this point on, as another parroting thug assigned to "journalistic pundit department" for the most corrupted group of american traitors in history, and a collaborative mainstream news (apologist/propaganda) media service.

U.S. Attorrney David Iglesias may name Senators Heather Wilson and Pete Domenici as the two persons putting pressure on him, but even if he does, nothing will happen to the two senators. They will not be charged or tried for attempting to influence him, nor will they be censured by Congress. If anything, Iglesias will pay a huge price to his career for being honest.
The "shock" and "gasping" of Congress is all PHONEY. That's the way the system works.
You don't have to be a blind conservative not to see it, just an ignorant one to deny it.

It is by now obvious that with a few RARE EXCEPTIONS the THE DEMOCRAT members of both houses of the US CONGRESS STARTING WITH JOE LIEBERMAN, Harry Reid, "STENNIE", Raum-baby and MOST OF THE REST of the "NEW CONGRESS" who PROMISED SO MUCH are now once more so FIRMLY IN BED WITH THE BUSH BASTARDS that there is NO EFFECTIVE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM....
