Let's not forget the lord and master of my district. A politician who truly lives up to his name: Mr. John T. Doolittle. What an utter moof this guy is. I've been watching him for a long, long time. I used to work for one of his unscrupulous puppet masters in the real estate development field. I tell you, I learned more about the ins and outs of dirty play in that job. But of course, all these fine gentlemen were christian conservatives. No surprise there. My employer snapped his fingers and Doolittle would jump.

Here's a lovely image for you to remember Doolittle by. Think back to the movie Fahrenheit 9/11. There is one scene where Michael Moore is outside of the congressional temple and he's trying to interview the reps that are arriving about the war in Iraq. He's asking them if they would encourage their own sons and daughters to go fight since they themselves, the congressmen, are pro war. Naturally, no one wants to speak to Michael but they politely walk around him or simply say 'no comment'. Enter John T. Doolittle, my congressman. Michael Moore approaches Doolittle and attempts to ask him the same question as the others. Upon seeing Moore, Doolittle literally emits a very loud "eeeeek", jumps straight up in the air, and like a Tom and Jerry cartoon you can practically see his legs pumping before he even comes back down and hits the ground running. What a total moof!

One of the first things I noticed about the Decider was how close-set his eyes are - almost touching. Reminds me of that banjo playing kid in Deliverance. Also notice how red/bloodshot his nose and cheeks have been gettin lately. Another conniver with those sneaky, close-set, smirking eyes is rove. With the fat face, kinda reminds me of Elmer Fudd. These are not intelligent people - what they are good at is saying and/or doing anything to get their way, much like the used car salesman. Simple minded. Close minded. Run down the list. If you have a substance problem that you are ashamed of then you learn to hide it and sometimes you actually do fool people...which means you are good at hiding other things. Same with gay Republicans. Again, if you are spying or bribing, you pal up with those folks because they're vulnerable, even if they don't project that directly, even if they kept telling themselves that they have control over their lives...in fact, folks like that often psyche themselves up and out about what they can and cannot get away with. On the national scene the Nixon administration provided the last big time, going to jail by those who worked in the White House, extravaganza. PBS carried the committee hearings live for months on end, and rebroadcast them every night. Some Republicans never got over it, like Henry Hyde. The attempts to investigate Clinton and his impeachment were in many ways belated payback.

Of course, in Texas we currently have the Texas Youth Council sexual abuse scandal. The entire State Board was forced to resign, the USAttorney General for West Texas, Johnny Sutton who refused to prosecute is one of the Kept Attorneys since he used to work for Gonzo in Texas. All state offices and the majority of both houses have been Republican since W was elected governor.
