Waxman Invites Clemens, Other Players to Testify
House sleuth Henry Waxman (D-CA) has set a date, January 16th and invited a stable of players fingered in the Mitchell Report to testify, he announced today. They are: Brian McNamee, Kirk Radomski, Andy Pettitte, Chuck Knoblauch, and Roger Clemens.
Tough luck, Spencer. Looks like the Yanks are very well represented.

Taxpayers' money down the drain so that Waxman et al. can get some air time. Jeebus, how about focusing on the DOJ attorney scandal, the Zubdayah tapes, etc.
This is a very good post. It has an et al. and an etc. But I think I'm spelling Zubdayah wrong.

WAAAY more important things to do. I assume that all professional athletes cheat, that all starlets are bimbos, that the president is a liar. Next issue, please.

Exactly.... Way more important things to be focused on. You know what really pisses me off. No one wants to talk about all the other illegal (to baseball rules) crap that went on back before they had steroids. Players were gaining an edge in the game with corked bats, vaseline, and a number of other things they used to compete. You put men in an arena of competition and expect not to cheat? Hell look at are damn congress.

And what of Siebel Edmund's story of corruption and treason? I wish Waxman would hear all teh Edmund has to say and share it with the American public.

While I'm kinda peeved that they're even bothering with baseball at this point, there's a few things I just have to wonder about.
Actually, it's really just one, at it's about the guy who voted against the wild card and traded away Sammy Sosa back when he was owner of the Texas Rangers. If someone testified before Congress and said he knew about it, well, this hearing may very well be worth it.
