House to Vote to Override Bush Veto on Anti-Torture Bill
This afternoon, the House is set to attempt an override of President Bush's veto of the intelligence authorization bill late last week. Bush vetoed the bill, remember, because it would have prevented the CIA from using "enhanced interrogation" techniques. Critics -- Dems, military and national security experts among them -- say that the CIA's program has accomplished nothing more than destroying the U.S.'s image in the world.
The House, of course, would require a two-thirds majority to override the veto. We'll let you know how it goes.

I've been telling the DSCC, DCCC and DNC that there will be no money for Dem incumbents unless they stand up to the Bush administration. So all money so far has gone to challengers running against Repubs or against Blue Dog Democrats.
That said, if the House overrules Bush's veto, then a small donation will be sent immediately to the DCCC.

Or is this all for show with the certain knowledge that sufficient evil, immoral "blue doges" will join their evil, immoral breathen across the aisle and ward off this Override attempt.

Torture or "enhanced interrogation techniques"? Call it what it is. This is not just a political game. The GOP calls a measure to gut the clean air act "clear skys". This bill prevents the CIA from legally using TORTURE in our name. Call it torture. Not difficult.
