Hoyer: The Administration Wants to Talk
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) confirms this morning's Wall Street Journal story that the administration has changed its tune. From Roll Call (sub. req.):
The Bush administration is “now in a position where they want to talk about a possible compromise” on stalled electronic spying legislation, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) told reporters today.“I think, frankly, they were surprised” that House Democratic leaders were able to pass their preferred version of the bill, which would reauthorize and update the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, just before lawmakers left for the two-week spring recess, he said.
Hoyer said he has been in conversations with administration officials and with House Minority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), all of whom have indicated that they are ready to reach a compromise.

That BushCo have signaled they're willingness to talk to the House, will give Hoyer and his band of renowns a graceful way to cave and allow retro immunity for Bushco including DNI McConnell and CIA Director Hayden.

Be careful. The Bush Administration's idea of "talking" in re Iraq was do assert a pre-determined agenda. Be mindful of what they've previously asserted -- that they want updates and immunity -- before agreeing to listen. There is no compelling evidence to believe they've changed their position, only their ruse.

So the Bush administration is saying they are ready to compromise.
Checking my calendar, I notice that today is April 1.

The Democrats shouldn't accept any compromise from the criminal Bush regime. You can't trust a dictator and his criminal gang. Why should anyone trust Bush? You don't believe a professional liar.

Steny . . . Unless they have turned up something when they tapped your line, stay strong! By the way, since you are taking advice me now, can you change your hair style? Check with John Edwards.

The moment that old "stony" goes out and starts speaking for the president, you know he has caved in yet again to extortion. Mr. Hoyer, what is it that they have over you? What blackmail racket are they using to be able to force you into being their spokesperson?

"....compromise..."
I may have missed something these past seven years. Could one of the more astute bloggers please cite me an instance where this president has actually compromised... on ANYTHING?

Maybe Harry Reid will see this as a good reason to go get a spine transplant.

There is nothing to talk about....except for THREE SOUTH DAKOTA MURDERS OF my known associates who were murdered to "snuff out a Daschle supported inquiry" into THE ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE ARREST WARRANT FOR FORMER MIAMI FBI AGENT TERRY NELSON'S BIG SKY CALI COCAINE PIPELINE INTO GOP MONTANA GOV'S MARC RACICOT'S home state.
That warrant was signed under penalty of prosecution by Blaine County Sheriff PETE PAULSEN in Regina Saskatchawan Provincial Court.
Racicot was GOP Treasurer who paid off the GOP at US SENATE JUD COMM.
Racicot's emails were subpoenaed by Waxman...but...gee...emails cannot be found?
