McClatchy: U.S. Ditched Chalabi to Satisfy Maliki
Yesterday, NBC reported that the U.S. had finally cut off ties to Ahmed Chalabi because of "unauthorized" contacts with Iranian officials. Newsweek reported the same today, but said that Nouri al-Maliki's government had acted first. McClatchy's take is even clearer:
A State Department official said that this time the U.S. cut off Chalabi, who was appointed in September to head Maliki's Services Committee, which is meant to help usher services into communities after they're secured by U.S. and Iraqi troops, in deference to Maliki."Maliki has effectively de-horsed him and asked us to maintain a similar position," said the official, who requested anonymity to discuss sensitive interchanges with the Iraqi government. "My sense is that Maliki wants to marginalize and diminish Chalabi because he sees him as a pretender to the throne."

Smart move, Maliki. Hmmmmm, sounds like Maliki is starting to step up a bit.
I think perhaps we should start taking some steps back, and right out of Iraq.

Wow. That must be blow to the Beltway neocons. They held onto Chalabi through thick and thin:
- Not finding the weapons of mass destruction he SWORE were there. Judith Miller, cry ye thy tears.
- The harmless flap over Curveball - Chalabi's main man, who wove extravagant stories of Nukes on the Tigris... only to have the fables disappear in a wisp of smoke. Oh... and the gob-smack that the Germans had LONG warned us Curvey was a LYING DRUNK.
- That embarrassing mishap of the 2003 American raid on his Iraq compound - after it was discovered Mr. CherryPick was an Iranian spy.
There'll be a lot a wrung-out hankies over at AEI and the Weekly Standard, a lotta lumps in a lotta throats and, oh, some snotty noses, too.
But all thing must end. It's not Chalibi... it's US. We've changed... Our needs are... different.
There'll always be some feelings... some warmth.
Don't want to make him feel too unwanted - he knows where too many bodies are buried.

Chalabi is a notorious swindler.
Chalabi has always worked with the GOP US Intel Community....especially when CARTER SOUGHT TO GET HOSTAGES RELEASED using a backdoor guy named CHALABI.
Of course...CHALABI got contacted by GOP Bush Crime Family...and "decided to work against Carter" and MOSSAD knew this ahead of time, knowing full well that THE OCTOBER SURPRISE would occur.
This CHALABI losing power...is also linked to the missing stolen 9, 000, 000, 000$ hundred dollar bills that the ICA somehow...cannot account for...and somehow FBI/CIA/DIA/DUMSFIELD/CHENEY are not concerned with "finding out who committed the most outrageous swindle in the history of organized crime?!
Looks like...if Dems push this issue (they won't...the are worthless punk incompetent, impotent cowardly morons) that...CHALABI WOULD BE THE FALL GUY.
The radical right wing...always...FRAMES A FALL GUY who probabely deserved it since he was a coconspirator.
Look at the bogus MICHAEL KEITH MOORE prosecution in Round Rock, Texas, to see how....WILLIAMSON CTY PROSECUTOR JOHN "zero tolerence plea bargain expert" BRADLEY did not flip Moore after he was on tape talking to the media saying, "....I DIDN'T DO IT, BUT I KNOW WHO DID". MK Moore...went down as the patsy on CHENEY/NSA/NSA TSP/WHITTINGTON/NATHAN GRIFFITH/ROBERT MCNAUGHTON 's murder of Christina Moore who gave info on "Cheney's energy task force" to ROBERT MOORE, who broke the story for THE CENTER FOR PUBLIC INTEGRITY.

Ditched Chalabi for the FOURTH TIME...each time when it is politically valuable for the GOP's orchestrated headlines.
Our "free" Iraqi government is not yet confirming his ouster, as his connection to "McCain's top Chalabi check cashing foreign lobbyist advisor Charlie Black" is recalled.
