Mucky Nevada Gov. Files for Divorce

To call Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons' tenure troubled doesn't quite capture it.

It started off with a bang with accusations that he'd drunkenly assaulted a cocktail waitress in a parking garage in the middle of the night. That probe was eventually closed due to insufficient evidence. And then there's the federal investigation as to whether he took bribes from a defense contractor while he was a congressman. And now he's seeking a very public divorce from his wife.

Yes, there have been happier times, such as during this 2005 cruise, which was paid for by his defense contractor buddy:

Keep an eye on your daughters . . . Jim Gibbons is about to be back on the market . . .

May his genitals whither from the lack of use.

I think I'm going to pick up a copy of Sanchez's book

damn- wrong thread

I hope his wife gives up some evidence against him.

Jim Gibbons' wife had a lucrative "consulting" business that inexplicably pulled in thousands from defense contractors. A lot of those contracts stemmed from when Gibbons was a US Congressman. The company is called "Sierra Nevada."

Coincedentally, on the east coast, Rep. John and Julie Doolittle (friends of the Gibbons') have their own company, Sierra Dominion Financial Solutions.

Just a coincedence?

Who cares about a divorce, unless Mrs. Gibbons is ready to spill what she knows. More important, whatever happened to that federal investigation? Another one the DOJ conveniently forgot to pursue.
