Plame Renews Suit against Rove, Cheney, and Libby

From the AP:

Former CIA operative Valerie Plame is trying to resurrect a lawsuit against those in the Bush administration she says illegally disclosed her identity.

A federal judge dismissed Plame's lawsuit last year, saying there was no basis to bring a case. Plame's lawyers asked a federal appeals court Friday to send the case back before the judge and force him to consider its merits....

U.S. District Judge John D. Bates dismissed the case, saying the law requires Plame's complaints be raised under the Privacy Act. Plame's attorneys say that law is insufficient. They asked the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to send the case back to Bates for reconsideration.

Details about the suit here, which was originally filed way back in July of 2006.

I think it's unlikely that anything will come of this in today's political climate. We are seeing very slow shifts in the right direction but they seem glacial at best.

And with Bush's executive order to keep all of his records from the public forevera>, it is unlikely that we will ever know a fraction of what this administration has done against US.

I hope Ms. Plame continues her fight. For the whole debacle of disclosing not just her but the entire operation surrounding her last covert efforts has made this country significantly less safe.

And this from the Republican-Daddys-Take-Care-Of-You-Best government. Sibel Edmonds anyone?

Good luck with that lawsuit.

I won't hold my breath, but some justice against the Bush pigs would be nice.

John D. Bates was appointed United States District Judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia by President George W. Bush in December 2001.
Hmmm....
....Due you suppose the deck is stacked?
Answer:
Republican =NO
Democrat =Maybe

Real American =Sorry to say, looks like it!

The Bush Administration's get out of jail free card is just about to expire. They better get on their knees and pray to their god, whoever that is, that an honest Attorney General never takes office in their lifetime. Otherwise they'll be playing the harmonica from the top rack of a federal prison.

Despite Plame's cover being blown, I have to say I'd be glad to go undercover with her any day.

It's obvious Joe Wilson's op-ed hit them where it hurt -- which explains the extremity of their retaliatian. There's gold in that direction. It was he, probably more than anyone, who with that op-ed got the ball rolling on opening up the fascist cancer to public scrutiny and removal.

The first round in their suit has kept that issue in the public mind, and resulted in some fruitful discovery. At minimum, we can hope more of the same is the result of this second round.

"I think it's unlikely that anything will come of this in today's political climate. We are seeing very slow shifts in the right direction but they seem glacial at best."

In order to be repudiated entirely, the Bushit criminal enterprise cancer must be vomited up from the soles of We the people's shows. From the roots of the grassroots. That takes time. It has been happening since at latest 12/12/2000; it has only been invisible, like the numerous protests against the election theft, and against the war, because the MSM has consistently chosen not to report them.

But as inevitable as it is that the Bushit criminal enterprise will likely entertain refusing to go without impeachment proceedings, or actual physical law enforcement action against them, it is inevitable that the cancer will be vomited up.

Hopefully, this time all of it will be eliminated, instead of only a Nixon resignation, and then a Fordian "Let's move on" which left the anti-American Rumsfeld-Cheney[-Buchanan] cancer in place.

First things up for a Democratically-controlled Congress: repeal of the 1990's Communications Act which removed the prohibitions against monopoly consolidations in media, and restoration of the Fairness Doctrine.

support Obama all will be OK
