Plame Renews Suit against Rove, Cheney, and Libby
Former CIA operative Valerie Plame is trying to resurrect a lawsuit against those in the Bush administration she says illegally disclosed her identity.A federal judge dismissed Plame's lawsuit last year, saying there was no basis to bring a case. Plame's lawyers asked a federal appeals court Friday to send the case back before the judge and force him to consider its merits....
U.S. District Judge John D. Bates dismissed the case, saying the law requires Plame's complaints be raised under the Privacy Act. Plame's attorneys say that law is insufficient. They asked the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to send the case back to Bates for reconsideration.
Details about the suit here, which was originally filed way back in July of 2006.

I think it's unlikely that anything will come of this in today's political climate. We are seeing very slow shifts in the right direction but they seem glacial at best.
And with Bush's executive order to keep all of his records from the public forevera>, it is unlikely that we will ever know a fraction of what this administration has done against US.
I hope Ms. Plame continues her fight. For the whole debacle of disclosing not just her but the entire operation surrounding her last covert efforts has made this country significantly less safe.
And this from the Republican-Daddys-Take-Care-Of-You-Best government. Sibel Edmonds anyone?

Good luck with that lawsuit.
I won't hold my breath, but some justice against the Bush pigs would be nice.

The Bush Administration's get out of jail free card is just about to expire. They better get on their knees and pray to their god, whoever that is, that an honest Attorney General never takes office in their lifetime. Otherwise they'll be playing the harmonica from the top rack of a federal prison.

Despite Plame's cover being blown, I have to say I'd be glad to go undercover with her any day.
