Bush, Cheney's FBI Interviews Subpoenaed
At first Rep. Henry Waxman asked politely.
But today the chairman of the House Government Oversight and Reform Committee issued subpoenas for the FBI's paperwork stemming from interviews of Vice President Cheney and President Bush regarding the outing of covert CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson.
What are the odds Attorney General Michael Mukasey turns them over?
Meanwhile, we can expect former White House press secretary Scott McClellan to be on Capital Hill testifying about the same matter on Friday.

"...Look out kid, they keep it all hid..."
We need Democrats who use personal pronouns when doing oversite.
Personal pronouns include:
--RICH GORDON, murdered in Custer, SD after I talked to him on my father's wiretapped telephone;
--YPD SGT MARK DEFENBAUGH, murdered in staged vehicle accident after I talked to him on my wiretapped telephone;
--Yankton, SD, Lawyer JOHN KABIESEMAN, murdered ten days after Defenbaugh, one mile apart, ten days apart, after I visited John's law office in Yankton, SD;
--SD HIGHWAY PATROL CAPTAIN JEFF TALBOT resigned his Captain job after "...his murder investigation into the untimely death of his friend, Defenbaugh" was OBSTRUCTED BY SD US ATTY/SF FBI/SD AG LARRY LONG/SD HIGHWAY PATROL COLONEL.

I put the chances of Atty. Gen. Mukasey turning over these interviews somewhere between slim and none. I wish this were not so.

And we can thank Diane Feinstein and Chuck Shumer for their unqualified support for Mukasy's nomination.

All Cheney, Bush and Mukasey can do is delay the inevitable. I wonder what new laws might be coming before the House and Senate in 2009 that would address the complicity of Cheney and Bush in Libby's criminal conviction and in Valerie Plame's secret CIA employment status. How much difference will a Democratic President and Attorney General have on the enforcement of the investigative powers of a Democratic controlled congress?

Jolly ranchero, Mukasy can do anything he wants to do unless and until the US Supreme Court says otherwise. If you want to wait for that court to say anything at all, you will have to wait until the mid term elections in 2010. The Repub Crime Family will protect their own.

The best is to wait till the new election and then Obama can appoint a decent leader in the DOJ. Amazing that this illegal administration has been able to stack the deck like they have. But their turn is coming when we get a democratic party led House and Senate. The house should issue a subpeona late in this administration so that our new President's AG can comply.

If only Bush and Cheney had testified in front of the grand jury this wouldn't be an issue. Tee hee!

Our biggest concern, at this late date, shuld be that those in power in Washington (all 3 branches of our government) are going to use the precedents being set by the Bush administration to justify CONTINUING their policies, instead of curbing their excesses.
Over the past year-and-a-half, the Democrats in congress have held hearings and done investigations to establish many of the outrages perpetrated by this administration (often with the help of congress & the judiciary), but have done nothing to stop them; in fact, they have point blank refused to even consider the concept - impeachment "off the table". From here on out, this country is going to be ruled according to the whim of whoever is in power - the people & the Constitution, be damned.

These guys are going to "drive it like they stole it" until the last minute they are in power. And beyond, if possible.

I think it is very unlikely we'll see the report until we have a new Attorney General. Which is probably for the best as it makes it more difficult for Bush to issue preemptive pardons.
And I do seem to recall that lying to an FBI agent is ALWAYS against the law. If I were a betting man, I'd bet Bush and Cheney probably played a little fast and loose with the truth ... again.

FBI:
"Mr. President, Mr. Vice President"
"Do you recall disclosing Valerie Plame's identity in order to further your agendas?"
George and Dick, in unison:
"Not that we recall."
FBI: Thank you sirs. Do you think it would be possible to have my picture taken with you?"
George and Dick:
"Sure son. That is, if you support our effort to kill all these axis of evil folk...""

Being a former God-fearing man,I have no doubt that if there really is a God,He/She will do what I used to think God did to bad men--get them.And if God gets them, it`s good enough for me,but how will I know?If Mukasey gives Waxman what he wants.Then I will know for sure that there is a God.

Let us consider reality. First, it doesn't matter whether the GWB folks agree. They will not be making the decisions after 1/20/09. Only a sitting president can claim executive privilege.
Obama will not claim executive privilege for these traitors. Second, the statute of limitations for Bush, Cheney, and Mukasey will have not run out on 1/20/09.
Third, the best thing Obama can do after 1/20/09 is turn GWB over to the International Criminal Court. No need to prosecute the SOB here... let him rot in a Belgian prison for 25 years.
Fourth, as to Cheney, turn him over to any jurisdiction which has the death penalty such as Iran, Iraq, or Pakistan.

Well if Mukasey doesn't turn them over. The logical next step is to impeach and remove the AG.

I'll bet Mukasey does turn them over this time -- but redacted, in order to drag his feet. But that's okay, too: makes the drip-drip-drip persist.
Interesting that Waxman didn't bother working his way up the chain from FBI to Mukasey.
And an astounding 86 per cent of We the people disapprove of the "job" Bushit is doing [on the country and We the people]. Still, the pollsters continue to inflate the percentage of dead-ender support he has: 29 per cent. And that's since it draopped from 28 per cent.
Which means it's actually about 23 per cent, because the spouses of some of the 18 per cent who actually support him don't want to alienate their spouses.
