Former U.S. Attorney Believes She Was Fired Over Lesbian Rumors
We wrote late Monday about the possibility of Margaret Chiara, one of the the nine fired U.S. attorneys, being dismissed over the rumors that she was in a lesbian relationship with assistant U.S. Attorney Leslie Hagen. The OIG report released on Monday morning disclosed that Hagen was refused a promotion at Main Justice after Monica Goodling got wind of stories about her alleged sexual orientation and her rumored relationship with Chiara.
In a statement yesterday to the Los Angeles Times, Chiara stated she agreed that the stories were the source of her firing:
"I could not begin to understand how I found myself sharing the misfortune of my former colleagues," Chiara said of the eight other U.S. attorneys who were fired. "Now I understand."Justice officials said after her firing that Chiara was let go because of mismanagement and because she had caused morale in her office to sink. Chiara said Monday she believed those concerns were raised by the same people who spread rumors about her and Hagen.
"I guess now I am persuaded with deep regret that this is what was the basis," she added. "There is nothing else."
The next phase of Inspector General's report is due out any day now. Maybe it will shed more light on the issue of why Chiara, and the other dismissed U.S. attorneys, lost their presidential appointments.
Wow, hard to believe this is happening in the United States of America.

This story is all a frigging smokescreen...as the punk Dems once again, goof around the major Impeacheable issues like:
----WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHY, HOW WAS SOUTH DAKOTA US ATTORNEY MICHELLE TAPKEN'S GRAND JURY OBSTRUCTED...when SD AG LARRY "butt nutt" LONG and ass SD AG jerkoff punk MARK "internet stalker" BARNETT negotiated a "quid pro quo" with the CHENEY WHITE HOUSE resulting in SD AG LARRY LONG OPENING ANOTHER BOGUS POLITICALLY MOTIVATED CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION WHEN TAPKEN'S SON, WAS TARGETED IN SD AG'S BOGUS DAN NELSON AUTO LOAN investigation (an investigation that has literally gone nowhere and has lasted for three frigging years without any reasonable suspicion or probable cause to open the damn investigation in the first place?).
TAPKEN then shut down her grand jury, and was told to keep quiet and not contact the US SEN JUD COMM and or US HOUSE JUD COMMITTEE.
How come Conyers has not subpoenaed former MINNESOTA US ATTORNEY THOMAS HEFFLEFINGER...leading to CONSPIRACY TO OBSTRUCT JUSTICE to prevent fed investigation into ATTEMPTED POLITICAL MURDER OF AN FBI WITNESS NAMED DR. MARK GORDON who was harassed, stalked, and illegally monitored in his home with a PIN HOLE SPY CAMERA?
BOBBY "the gutless punk puke ferry" MUELLER, also...did not TESTIFY ABOUT THIS FACT PATTERN DURING THE CRUCIAL TIMEFRAME WHEN STENY HOYER AND PELOSIWHORE had negotiated their payoffs for the FISA SELLOUT, and the WAR COMMISSIONS ACT SELLOUT, and the bogus PATRIOT ACT RENEWAL SELLOUT (three unconstitutional laws that work as a Nazi Enabling Law effectively "destroying all other rules or laws as they are supposed to apply to the secret Gestapo Police State).

In behalf of myself as an American I am sorry that you were asked to resign and thus lost your job on the basis of smears and lies. I am sure that you will find many who have shared the spotlight, unwittingly, in our political environment of today. This environment and the actors who propagate it need to be pushed out of the system because if we fail to do this the rule of law will be nothing more than political expeciancy.

I would imagine the last list you'd want to be on in Washington these days is the list of prosecutors who were NOT fired. Just what sorts of compromises did they have to do to keep their jobs?
