Sen. Ted Stevens To Face Arraignment In Federal Court Tomorrow
Sen. Ted Stevens (R-AK) is due in federal court in Washington tomorrow for arraignment on seven counts of failing to disclose gifts from an Alaska oil firm.
The 84-year-old senator is scheduled to appear at 1 p.m. before U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan, who was appointed by President Clinton in 1994.
Stevens was ordered to contact pretrial services for a preliminary interview before the arraignment.
The federal prosecutors expected to handle the case are Joseph W. Bottini and James A. Goeke, court records show.

More talk, more money ..... no justice. These culprits need to be convicted of more than "failure to disclose". They are criminals with purposeful intent to defraud. Appropriate sentencing might possibly deter others from thinking they can get away with similar criminal activity at the tax payers expense.

In the commoner's world, prosecuters ADD crimes and degrees to arraignments (and they receive lots of plea bargains due to this action).
Important people, though, are exempt from such harsh actions.
Stevens will most likely be told he did make mistakes, but because he gave his entire life for our country (the clown actually spent most of his life helping his cronies destroy 200 years of our democracy)... he deserves leniency..
This usually gets the important folks off the hook for any real penalties...
