The Ted Stevens' Road to Ruin
We've had a lot of coverage today at TPMmuckraker on the freshly indicted Sen. Ted Stevens (R), but we've actually been following Uncle Ted and his son, Ben, here at TPMm for more than a year.
So for the benefit of our readers we thought we'd wrap it up into one neat little package so you can see how an 84 year-old U.S. Senator can go from free gas grills to federal indictment.
Ladies and gentleman, we present: The Ted Stevens' Road to Ruin, the ultimate in Ted Stevens' timelines.

Geez. There is so much you have to leave out in the exploration of Uncle Ted's road to ruin.
There's all sorts of fishy stuff that passes through his avuncular portals. Like the deal he managed for the native Alaskan Co. to serve chow to U.S. anti drug, paramilitary "advisors" in Columbia. (So many Inuit are familiar with the steamy tropical landscape food service industry, doncha know.) But, hey, a little advice from Stevens' buddy Cheney (okay one of KBR's small branches) and they were up and running - serving a meal for $10 that was had for $4 with the previous provider.
Everything is more costly in Alaska; it has to be shipped in.

Kudo's to TPM. When everyone said you were just being vindictive or this was just too dense to carry to the MSM you consistantly reported the facts and cogently followed the money. I propose a Toast to TPM.
Best regards.
