Spakovsky Subpoenaed in Civil Rights Department Probe

Lifting the veil on one of the two remaining Justice Department OIG reports, Murray Waas for the Huffington Post reports that Hans von Spakovsky, among other former Justice Department lawyers, has been subpoenaed by the OIG to testify about politicization of the Civil Rights Division.

Investigators for the Inspector General have also asked whether [Brad] Schlozman, while an interim U.S. attorney in Missouri, brought certain actions and even a voting fraud indictment for political ends, according to witnesses questioned by the investigators. But it is unclear whether the grand jury is going to hear testimony on that issue as well.

One person who has been subpoenaed before the grand jury, sources said, was Hans von Spakovsky, who as a former counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights was a top aide to Schlozman.

As Waas points out in the article, the DOJ forcing former members of its own ranks to testify is an "extraordinary step."

Both Schlozman and Spakovsky are being investigated for violating civil service laws in making hiring decisions based on political affiliation.

Jason Torchinsky is also reported to have been subpoenaed, though sources tell Waas that Torchinsky is not under investigation and has been only asked for witness testimony.

Two previous reports by the OIG have both found that hirings were politicized at various points at the Justice Department. The first report showed the politicization of the Attorney General's Honors Program, while the second, released last week, focused on the politicized hiring surrounding Monica Goodling and others at the DOJ.

Office of the Inspector General, not Office of Imbroglio Goofery, as some people going only on the information in this report might suspect.

I don't want to be impolite, but it's time to start slinging some of these guys on the wall - threaten to turn them over to the hard-timers inside for a little, old-fashioned jailhouse cornholin'. That'll wipe those smug grins off their faces give them a taste of deterrence. Also, I notice this son-of-a-bitch is now a pundit in deep-cable news. Great!

More on Torchinsky here. Get 'em!

Spakovsky was Little Georgie's nominee for the Federal Election Commission who was so vile and putrid that the Democrats actually stood up to Little Georgie and said, "No."

Wow. And DOJ subpoenaed this bigoted turd to testify before the Grand Jury? Some one in the OIG has a ginormous set of cajones.

What will it take for Nancy to grow a set?

Although, impeachment proceedings beginning just after the elections would be fine.

Ain't nuthin' gonna happen to these ass-holes and they know it.

1. They got away with it.

2. Their homeys are permanently embedded in Justice.

3. Thanks to this stink, the next President - Obama, likely - can't do the same thing.

Their smarts, combined with the empty sacks of the Girly-Crats, mean one thing: They win, the Constitution loses.

Two words, and they skate: Executive Privelege.

I think the Supremes are starting to roll back that Executive Privelege crap and will probably make Rove appear before judicial committee (wouldn't want an Obama administration to inheirit it, would they). But they still will skate with two words. Michael Mukasey!

Two words: "Presidential pardon".

These people really get me. If you watched Spaskovsky and Schlozzman during their testimonies....one thing stands out. Just like Karl Rove, they are HIGHLY unsure of their manhood status. Sitting in ivory towers and throwing bombs on all the Virile Democratic Voters was the best job they ever could have had, and nobody beats them up! What a ride.
These guys never made a move in their life without wetting themselves over who was going to beat them up....and then they get jobs where they can be as vicious and nasty as humanly possible, without having to put their own SACK on the line.

I would rather be ruled by brutes who at least had to fight and physically risk something, than these hermetically sealed weak-kneed half-men nursing their hatreds against most of humanity.

(I posted this comment elsewhere too)

And Jason Torchinsky.

Another person subpoenaed by the grand jury, according to several sources, was Jason Torchinsky, who, like Spavosky, was also a Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights.

Torchinsky is not under investigation for any wrongdoing himself, but rather subpoenaed as a witness in the probe, sources said. Previously, however, Torchinsky had refused to voluntarily answer questions from investigators working for the Justice Department’s Inspector General about the politicization of the Civil Rights Divison. Reached at his home on Tuesday night, Torchinsky declined to comment for this article.

For the unitiated, Torchinsky is a political dirty trickster of the first order. He works for Virginia State Senator Jill Holtzman-Vogel. Jill was General Counsel of the RNC back in 2000-2003. Jill is married to Ken Vogel, who himself is a GOP operative. Holtzman also runs a law firm in suburban VA which is really a political ops shop.

Torchinsky is an important piece of this case because Holtzman-Vogel was responsible for setting up and running the sham nonprofit “American Center For Voting Rights” in 2004 - the one headed by Mark F. “Thor” Hearne, II that was to pivotal in pushing the agenda of so-called “voter fraud” cases.

Torchinsky’s involvement with the nonprofit voter fraud myth squad as well as his service in the Civil Rights division - an office that has control over this issue is, shall I say, worrysome.

Notice how many of these prople who want to thwart our liberal democracy have similar names - von Spakovsky, Torchinsky, Scholzman, Benczkowski,(and previously,Haldeman, Ehrlichman). A person might begin to form a prejudice against people with such names, after awhile......

The names are merely coincidental. That these chickens are coming home to roost is a fact! Yea for the good guys!!.

We can only hope and pray that the judge puts a gag order on Schlozman. My brain still hurts from listening to his whiny voice in his previous lying, er testimony.

If you think anything is going to come of this YOU ARE a glutton for punishment!
