I'm pretty sure Palin's ex Chief of Staff Tibbles has something to say.

He abruptly resigned in May 2008 - and went to work for Ted Stevens as his campaign manager.

Prior to his resignation - Tibbles and Palin were close - he headed her transition committee when she came in as governor and then was Chief of Staff.

Prior to Palin, Tibbles worked for ex Governor Murkowski.

There is a sense of incredible franticness surrounding the attempts to squelch the Trooper-gate probe. While the alleged actions by Gov Palin are probably actionable in an administrative court, does no one in the McCain campaign realize that they are doing more harm to Palin and the campaign by steam-rolling the locals and trying to bury a legislatively sanctioned investigation?

Per all accounts Alaskans are frontiers(wo)men who take pride in their independence and maverickyness. I would not be surprised if one of the elitist Republican lawyer types from the lower 48 gets a serious ass wuppin some day from one of the locals while trying to control the message.

Or is the mission of this pathetic Alaskan opera to protect the myth of Saint Sarah at all costs? It would be easier to take the hit on the investigation now than to deal with the continuous drip of leaks, which are really doing more harm to her.

It says volumes about Stapleton that she would invoke their college alumni in an effort to claim entitlement to favorable press.

KTUU has been a pillar of journalistic ethics in the State of Alaska - most of us are shocked and dismayed to see a former reporter (Stapleton) shilling for a carpetbagging campaigner (McCain). It was Bill McAllister that kept the pressure on the Murkowski administration when it came to secret meetings with the oil companies on the natural gas pipeline - now he's shilling for Palin? Did he have bias towards her all along? It changes my perspective on the past 4-5 years and there can't be a bigger argument for moving the capital out of Juneau and onto the mainland. (Warning: colloquial Alaska politics here)

Now we know what Palin has been doing while staring at Russia. Learning to take down the media if they speak against her. Palin, Putin...pretty much the same thing?

These are scary people without ethics. Has anybody checked to see where Monica Goodling is working now? Anyone notice if she recently bought a parka?

Har har, Jason Moore is the brother-in-law of Trevor McCabe, former staffer for Ted Stevens who is up to his earballs in the CBC corruption investigations in Alaska.

Moore was also the spokesflak for Fran Ulmer, former Lt Governor under Tony Knowles, in her run for Governor in 2002.

Meg Stapleton is Rovian-like reptilian who used to work for the RNC as a speechwriter before she worked for KTUU television.

Why just yesterday Palin learned the word "verbiage" pronounced verbage, and "construction bonds" - she used them in the wrong places but hey, give her a chance.

Don't we have first amendment rights being suppressed here? That's evidence of federal crime, right? How about McCain wading into the Palin-specific state-level ongoing investigations? How is this jurisdictionally sound? Can we at least get an FBI investigation or something, maybe? At least non-state-appointed police representation?

How about open evidence of witness tampering and coercion? 10 folks suddenly not willing to testify? You must be kidding.

And apparently AG impeachment is "off the table" at the state level despite refusing to honor AK state law (legislator's subpoenas)?
