Stevens Loses Motion to Dismiss Charges; Trial to Begin in 12 Days

Indicted Sen. Ted Stevens (R-AK) might have handily won his primary, but he's not been so lucky with motions.

A judge ruled against Stevens today in his request to throw out the charges against him,

From Reuters:

U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan rejected defense efforts to dismiss the charges on grounds that only the Senate may discipline him for any violations of Senate rules and that the indictment was unconstitutionally vague.

Guess we'll be seeing Stevens in court on September 22, as originally planned.

What is he going to do without Palin to spearhead fundraisers for him?

Check out what's playing at the Mat-Su. Photo from Alaska Daily News.

Is it me or has Stevens aged 10 more years in a month? He looks like Droopy Dog.

Great, another anchor to tie around Palin's neck. By the time the trial really heats up, it will be October, and a wealth of not-so-surprises will be helping Obama along.

Stevens looks like crap, I couldn't be happier.

a shiny nickel to the first msm journo covering the stevens trial who dares to mention palin's direct connections to stevens accurately.

and forks in the eyes for any journos who repeat the lies about palin and stevens having any sort of falling out.
