Indiana Supreme Court Won't Stop Early Voting
The Indiana Supreme Court has declined to approve a bid by the GOP to shut down early voting centers in Democratic strongholds of a key county.
A lower court had similarly rejected the effort earlier this week. The Supreme Court ruled today that the case had to first be heard by an appeals court, rather than going straight to the state's high court as the Republican plaintiffs wanted.
Since the appeals court is unlikely to get involved before November 4th, today's ruling effectively ensures that voting will continue up until election day.

(I'm sure that Washington/Lincoln would gladly give up their combined holiday in favor of a 'voting' holiday.) To not have voting day a declared holiday is a form of voter suppression. Then again, plutocracies definitely don't champion citizen voting, do they.

Well i'm happy to report that I just finished voting in northern Indiana's 3rd district. In Goshen, IN.
It went very well, with a seasoned ,informational staff.
There were about 50 people in line,(INSIDE).
4 people were voting at a time.
It took me about an hour to get through, and there were more people in line when I left.
To me this looks like a good sign of a heavey turnout in our county.
By the way, there was a lot of younger kids.

I myself have been encouranging people to take their kids to let them see them vote. I do recommend not taking too many and try to find someone to take of little ones, so that they don't have to get out of line.
I voted on Friday because I have a meeting to be in. I think that which ever president gets in they need to make this a priority also. I just don't think that it's fair.
Some body needs to call Bush on the misdoings of the elections ... call him to task ... because it is not ACORN that is the problem it is him.
