AP: Second Trooper-Gate Report To Be Released Tonight

The Alaska State Personnel Board will release its report into Trooper-Gate tonight, reports the Associated Press.

From the AP:

Timothy Petumenos, an independent investigator hired by the Alaska Personnel Board, says he will release the report during a news conference 7:30 p.m. EST Monday.

A separate legislative panel earlier found that Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, abused her office by allowing her husband and other staffers to pressure the public safety commissioner to fire a state trooper who went through a nasty divorce from Palin's sister. She fired the commissioner, but denies it had anything to do with the trooper.

odd timing!

Ah, serendipity.

Oh, sure. They timed this to draw attention away from Obama's grandmother's convenient death, just as she was about to spill the beans about his being born on the planet Mongo.

Nailin' Palin!
Oh, that's hot.

It is strange that they would want to remind people that she abused her power.

In any case, they have lost the news cycle today.

Besides the interview with the fake "Sarkozy" was another nail on her coffin...

Well ... seems too much like the US Attorney thing ... is it legal since it's not a judicial branch action?

Of course I think she's guilty as hell and has been arrogantly lying about the contents of the previous report, so she certainly deserves whatever trouble comes from this - but so far she seems to be made of teflon on issues other than her ... uhhh ... complete incompetence to serve as VP.

user-pic

Bah. I expect a whitewash to give Palin some wind in her sails for tomorrow. Otherwise it wouldn't come out on the very eve of the election - the GOP would make sure of that.

I don't care about the timing one way or another. Whether it's good or bad, it will have zero impact on the paradigm shift that is going to occur tomorrow.
This mean spirited dodo will have plenty of free time to grapple with her issues.

I hate when she does that with her tongue. Ack! She gives me nightmares anyway.

But we must remember as Sarah Sixpacks Hockey/Soccer Mom reminded us, she has been exonerated of the charges. And we best not be critical because it will violate her First Amendment rights. Can the woman be more deluded or more ignorant?

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (CNN) — Alaska's Personnel Board concluded Monday that Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin did not violate ethics law by trying to get her ex-brother-in-law fired from the state police, contradicting an earlier investigation's findings.

The announcement comes a day before Palin and Republican presidential nominee John McCain face voters in Tuesday's presidential election
