Ex-Bush Aide Charged With Stealing Taxpayer Money
A former White House aide has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars of federal money that was intended to promote democracy in Cuba, reports the Washington Examiner.
Felipe Sixto was charged with stealing from the Center for a Free Cuba, a non-profit organization, both while he worked there from 2005 to 2007, and after he went to work in the White House last year.
In March of this year, we noted that Sixto had resigned from the White House after the allegations first surfaced. He had been working there as a special assistant to the president in the office of inter-governmental affairs.

You can't google it yet, but there's a fledgling movement afoot to make Cuba the 51st State, once Fidel's finally declared officially deceased.
But will that ever happen? Castro must be part cat, he's had at least 7 of his 9 lives pass right before our eyes.
It's like N Koreea and Kim Jong Il, Cuba's got Castro's body propped up with remote control devices that make him look alive, especially the mechanism that brings the cigar up to his mouth.

Seriously, though, think ten years into the future, and the idea that new states may join our Union shouldn't be so far out of the realm of reality. Puerto Rico, Guam, they all could become official US States instead of hypocritically labeled "territories" or "protectorates".
And it wouldn't be a matter of creeping American imperialism, this would be joining the commonwealth, with the US dollar as the economic foundation.

Why not Cuba? I seem to recall that Thomas Jefferson considered Cuba to be an excellent acquisition for the U.S.
