Security Assigned To Ohio Dem Sec of State
Security has been assigned to Ohio's Democratic secretary of state Jennifer Brunner, reports the Toledo Blade.
Brunner was sued by the state Republican party over a dispute about discrepancies in the registration information of newly registered voters. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of Brunner last month.
Brunner has reported receiving death threats after the ruling, and her office was the target of a security breach.

Welcome to the Repugs being out of power. Anyone remember Randy Weaver and the Minutemen?

Yes I remember. I don't think you chose a good example - even though I sort of agree with psycho GOPer vibe.
I remember that two of the lives lost in the Weaver affair were that of a 13 year old child who was shot in the back and a mother shot through the head by a sharpshooter with her baby in her arms. The federal agent's death was ruled to be legitimate self defense (at the hands of Kevin Harris) and Weaver won a wrongful death suit against the government.

Do we want to fight or unite? This operation wasn't one of Clinton's finest moments IMO. Let's close the book on yesterday's conflicts.

It's shameful and difficult to face that just like the anthrax letter senders, there exist some groups who don't really believe in democracy only in their won ideas of how America should be "run" but after being cultivated by the likes of Hannity, Coulter, Rush, Beck, O'Reilley, Palin and McCain, this group considers dissenters terrorists traitors and feel free to ignore the law for the "good" of their movement.
All of the above have been peddling fear and hate to the point of sedition never realizing what a minority they are in this country. Tonight should have shown them that a huge majority agree with the very people they threaten and consider enemies. So who really is not representative of America. If this is the majority of Americans who then is really "un-American" or Anti-American...the minority in opposition to the majority. We don't look upon such actions or threats as American but rather as criminal and threatening to true patriots.
The reason for such huge voter turnout...to prevent republicans from being able to steal the election this time. To make sure there is no doubt as to the will of the people and their mandate...we want republicans and their policies gone. We want dem policies and sweeping liberal progressive changes. This is the direction we have consistently polled to and hopefully have initiated.
Since Obama won the primary I and many others have predicted without a doubt a landslide victory because we have listened to the American people and what they claim they want and so many tried to make it a horse race listening to the loudmouth Obama liberal haters still shouting fear and hatred while sinking in a disaster they created. Here we are...not only proven correct...but overwhelmingly so. Soon we will have a DoJ that we can trust, an EPA that we can trust...and excitement is filling the air. Seems this day was a long time coming but finally a chance to restore our democracy unencumbered by the likes of Joe the plunger or TiTo the wannabe important or Palin the pathetic. I guess ACORN failed to destroy the very fabric of our democracy with the greatest fraud...lol. I guess American voters were smart enough to know that Judgment trumps Experience and were not dissuaded by someone saying "I know how to win wars", based on his being a captive in one. LOL. Or the inconsistent "We are all Georgians now" to "we are all Joe the Plumber now".lol

Ms. Brunner is one of the true heroes of this election, for standing steadfast all the way to the Supreme Court in support of Ohio's voters! Huge kudos to her for putting a stake through the heart of the GOP voter suppression scheme in her state!
