Gonzo Blames "Tough Economy" For Struggle To Find A Job
Last night, Alberto Gonzales continued his failing effort to rehabilitate his reputation, talking to CNN's Campbell Brown about his record at DOJ.
Brown asked about the numerous findings that Gonzo had politicized the department, provoking the response from him that "you need to look at the overall record of the Department during my tenure."
But the lowest -- and saddest -- moment when he tried to explain his struggle to find a job since leaving government service.
He blamed the economy.
Watch the video:
Remember, this man was the Attorney General of the United States.

Don't make me soil my shorts. Tough ecomony is hindering Gonzo from finding a job? Maybe it's because you are a dithering idiot. George is back in private practice, I'm sure he could use help in restoring the "Whites Only covenant in his new neighborhood!

All together now:
Awwww!
I'm not sorry for him. He's lucky he's not in jail for his lies.

Actually, WE'RE UNLUCKY that he's not in jail for his lies. But maybe that will change.
Delusional democrats are all alike; every delusional republican is delusional in his own way...

Yeah, it is satisfying to see gonzo humiliated. I'm guessing there are plenty of right leaning orgs that will offer him something once his legal issues are settled -- perhaps when he's in jail.

Writers dramatization:
Campbell Brown: Did it ever occur to you that lying to Congress could make it more difficult to land a job in the legal profession after the Bush Administration left town?
Gonzo: No.

The level of self-denial that these people have--Yoo, Cheney, Gonzo, Bush, et. alia--is epic. Why would anyone hire Gonzales in good times? The legal opinions that he gave as White House Counsel were dubious at best (illegal and/or unConstitutional at worst), he did a lousy job running the Justice department, and his appearances before Congress show him to be either deluded, a liar, a horrifically bad lawyer, or some combination thereof.
The longer he goes without a job, the better for the legal profession. And the world.

Would you rather see him on welfare because he can't get a job?

YES! YES! YES! For the rest of his life.

it seems like he's putting his job search woes more on the "ongoing investigations" rather than simply the "very tough economy"

And speaking as a Texan, I have to say that I would vastly prefer that this incompetent twit not "contribute to the community." His contributions are all on the negative side of the scale; we need to improve Texas, pal, not make it worse.

Gonzales can't get a job, Bush can't find anyone to pay him for personal appearances and speeches.

Maybe someone did hire him and he just doesn't recall?
