Source: CIA Dissembles In Briefings
Yet more evidence that the CIA may not have been totally up front with Nancy Pelosi during that contested torture briefing from 2002...
A former "deep-cover" CIA operative tells CQ's Jeff Stein that agency briefers often hide facts or shade the truth. "They mumble, they dissemble, and there's a lot of 'on the one hand... '" said the operative, who has written harsh critiques of the CIA, under the pen-name Ishmael Jones.
He added, referring to the CIA:
Its enormous numbers of employees have led to briefings being handled by groups, with vague chains of command, so that it may have been difficult to pin down what was said, when it was said, and who was in charge."And he said the CIA doesn't have a political agenda. Rather, "the CIA is loyal only to itself. As long as Mrs. Pelosi supported its bureaucratic lifestyle, it supported her, but when she attacked it, it fought back. The CIA may not be able to conduct efficient intelligence operations, but it knows how to survive."
To be sure, Jones is no Pelosi defender. He said she "has been using the interrogation issue as a political tool for years."
But his characterization of the briefings, which echoes what Lawrence Wilkerson told TPMmuckraker, and appears somewhat borne out by the high number of apparent errors in the briefing document, further undercuts GOP efforts to tar Pelosi by presenting the agency as a pillar of transparency and honesty.

Dear Mr. Roth,
As I am appreciative you have again raised the Obama Administration, CIA, Torture issues, Illegal Secrecy issues and many other seemingly significant and important relevant concerns, please allow me to mention the following;
1) As you may know on the your-rights.com there is a seemingly significant 1 1/2 hour Video Documentary, (scroll down several inches on the home center page) entitled ' Bush Link to Kennedy Assassination' which thoroughly appears to provide overwhelming substantial relevant proof of wrongdoings and in direct reference to my above allegations in the first paragraph and including murder. I suggest that this 'Bush Link to Kennedy Assassination' is viewed without skipping ahead and preferably uninterrupted from start to finish.
1a) Please note that there was also direct Testimony in the recent, 7/2008 Congressional Chairman, John Conyers, Judiciary Committee Hearings 'Presidential Powers and Its Limitations' 'Impeachment Hearings' on this exact subject matter and from Ms. Holtzman and Mr. Bugliosi and as also in Testimony as the most important hearing in recent memory, implied including the Nixon Impeachment, 40+ years. Also please note that Mr. Bugliosi has written several books, although which I have not read, entitled 'The Prosecution of Bush for Murder' 2007 and 'The Assassination of President Kennedy' 2008. Also, please note the Congressional testimony of Winter Soldiers before our US Congress that is archived on the Democracynow.org on this past Memorial Day Broadcast of 5/25/2009.
2) Please note that there may appear to be a concern and/or questions as why Ms. Caroline Kennedy and Senator Edward Kennedy some years ago went to Harvard Kennedy Law School to accept an award from then President Bush. Also, astonishing is that the Kennedy Family must have had knowledge within the past 40+ years and within the mentions of this 2004 'Bush Link to Kennedy Assassination' Documentary Video. Also seemingly astonishing is Senator Kennedy's very public vocal 'No Impeachment' with seemingly astonishing comments of 'the country can't take it'.

Also within concern that this Article mentions that the '...CIA knows how to take care if itself....',
1) It has been well alledged that (CIA) VP Dick Cheney outed CIA Valerie Plame and her Husband, Ambassador Joe Wilson and brought us at least the illegal Iraq War.
2) CIA Dick Cheney (and Rumsfeld) also brought the cover up of the illegal Tortures 'Artichoke' Experiments on our own US Troops.
3) Please recall Democracynow.org documetaries on the CIA Tortures and murderous, Jermy Schaill or some other notable who wrote a book on his CIA Career and of the 'Jackels' (including alleged Assassinations and murders) and the 'School of the Americas' now the exact 'Institute of .... that VP Dick Cheney spoke recently on the same day President Obama spoke on illegal Torture, Rendition, Murder, illegal State Secrets.

Before you apply your ad-hominen reply at me, please;
1) View the 'your-rights.com' Documentary Video and in its entirety, 'Bush Link to President Kennedy Assassination'.
2) This Article implies CIA wrongdoing, cover-up and ability to survive.
My apologies for my poor Writing quality.
I do not want to blog comment reply to begin with, although as I have seemingly been abandoned by the GAP, NWC, POGO and all others and as a prominent Federal Employee 'Whistleblower' and if my case files where properly heard by the MSPB with many others to prevent the illegal Secrecy that may have also led to the horrible tragic events 9/11/2001 and other subsequent illegal War(s), ecetra. Now my DOJ/INS Federal Employee 'Whistleblower' case files are being used against all litigants and at will.
All I am trying to accomplish is to hopefully find support to uphold our US Constitution, Bill of Rights, Democracy and Declaration of Independence with the endeavors of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness for all and most importantly to prevent my FEDCIR Case files to be used at will against all those whom share these truths and beliefs.
I have clearly tried to provide a good effort.

It is not natural.
After wading through tpmreader's comments over time, there has been some improvement in articulation and, as a guess, English is not his/her first language.
However, while most of tpmreader's posts are off target, occasionally there is a germ of truth even though it is usually well hidden in verbosity.

3 Important things,
1) Dick Cheney and Rumsefeld were DOD'ers, not CIA'ers. They were using the DOD OSP in order to force intelligence down the throat of the intelligence community.
2) Dick Cheney and Rumsfeld are not CIA'ers they are DOD'ers. They disdain the idea of anything that has intelligence even if only in it's name.
3) School of the Americas is a DOD function not CIA. Don't assume that every covert thing is CIA. CIA sent some people to School of the Americas as instructors, but they were not the leaders. It fell under military (hence DOD) jurisdiction.
4) The CIA knows how to take care of itself. Sometimes it means casting aside some of its personnel.
P.S. I can count. I felt 1 and 2 should be responded to discretely, but that it was a single point.

1) Please note there is an abundance of Information, Yahoo Search 'Cheney Artichoke' and I presume on wikipedia and numerous other sources that cleary state infact that a CIA Agent care and control was in the Infamous Pennsylvanis Hotel as Dr. Frank Olsen was falls from the 13th floor to his death (Artichoke and Anthrax). Numerous allegation of Dick Cheney White house cjief of staff 11/1975 to 1/1971 preceeded by Rumsfeld, Rockefeller Commission 1972 cover-up of Congressional of, if I remember correctly alleged complicit and conspiracy CIA Documents.
2) Adundance of Information and Books and Democracynow.org that CIA was the leading operative in conjuntion with School of the Americas of alleged illegal high crimes and misdeamoners murders and Assassinations.
3) Please view know 'your-rights.com' Documentray video 'Bush Link to Kennedy Assassination' which has numerous additional CIA implications of wrongdoing CIA Members and inclusive of Top White House Authority of clear documented murder and other High Crimes and Misdeamoners.
