Finally, some good news for California sex braggart "Hot Mike" Duvall...
Attorney General Jerry Brown says he won't investigate Duvall's claim, captured on a hot mike, to be having an affair with a woman identified as a lobbyist for an energy company. Until he resigned in the wake of the scandal, Duvall, a Republican, had been vice chair of the state legislative committee that oversees energy issues.
A Brown spokesman told the Los Angeles Times:
Even if the publicly reported behavior is proven to be true, it would not constitute a violation of California law. Accordingly, unless additional information comes to light, our office intends no further inquiry.
Brown, a former governor, is campaigning to re-assume to his old office next year.
It's not all good news for Duvall, though. The FBI has said it is probing Duvall's filthy rodomontade (hat-tip TPMDC's Brian Beutler), and has spoken to two former Duvall aides.

Of course, if Brown and his "office" refuse to ask any questions, little additional information will ever come to light.
