John Stossel of Fox News will join a conservative activist group for rallies designed to build opposition to health-care reform.
Americans For Prosperity (AFP) has announced that Stossel, a "renowned health care reporter and analyst," will participate in three "Health Care Town Halls," starting next week in Arkansas.
In a press release, AFP says that the events will be designed in part to "discuss the dangers of government-forced health care."
The news comes at a time when the White House has aggressively challenged Fox's legitimacy as a news organization. Stossel is longtime conservative/libertarian TV personality, who left ABC News for Rupert Murdoch's network in September.
A Fox News spokeswoman did not immediately respond to a request for comment from TPMmuckraker.
Late Update: It's worth noting that Stossel appeared at at least one earlier AFP anti-reform event, this one in Wisconsin in late August. Stossel worked for ABC at the time.

PASS THIS ALONG>>>>>
There is a whole article on Rueters about waste in Healthcare....This proves Obama was right all along but it will push the Dems to pass this quick to avoid fallout from the HC donor dollars...Other wise the bill will get tighter..

It is accurate if there is a mandate with no real public option.
So I would agree with that statement only if we get a mandate, with no public option.
Because then that would be government-forced.

Wait a minute. It will be "forced health care" if there is a public mandate, which means that all individuals will be required by law to buy health insurance. Period. If we have a robust public option that would allow people to choose to get their health insurance from the government, rather than from the private insurance sector. That would be better in terms of giving people a choice, but it still would be "forced."
I'm appalled by the number of people who don't seem to get this.

This plays beautifully into the hands of the WH.
And John Stossel has to be one of the most anti-intellectual media personalities out there.

He received 425,000 from that, but has since decided that suing for damages is wrong, and that because his pain went away, that other people who sue for pain don't have legitimate cases either. He has not returned the money, despite being paid a high salary. He's also a devotee of Sarno, an MD who believes that most people's pain is in their heads, and they don't require treatment besides reading Sarno's book. And likely watching his video. Or going to his seminar. Which is great, for people whose pain is in their heads, but making the assumption that everyone's pain is in their heads is an unkindness to the many with pain from elsewhere.

Obviously the media is liberally biased -- after all, Stossel worked at ABC for many years, and we constantly heard from him how ABC was censoring him, attacking him, suppressing his work. All the time, right? In fact, since ABC is so liberal, you'd think they just wouldn't have paid him a big, fat salary at all... isn't that strange...? Almost as if Stossel is a lying piece of...

Stossel is a POS and always has been. He's a phony crusader and professional contrarian.
And Fox News wonders why they are not considered a News organization?

Let's be fair. The wrestler never punched him. It was an open-hand slap, which knocked Stossel to the ground — both times.
Stossel never did answer the question posed by wrestler David Schultz as Stossel was picking himself up off the ground: Do you think that's fake?

And, this is a surprise? It is hard to know which is more obvious: Stossel's bias, or his massive -- and unjustified -- ego.

Just another example of Faux news dancing to the right-wings tune. Having a guy with a bigger name out there doesn't help there cause it only further proves that they are the communication arm of the GOP & neo-cons agenda. Not that that's new news.

Healthcare the world over seems much more of an illusion, for far too many people that need it. My company http://www.smilemd.com is right now securing doctors and dentists for voluntary free clinics, for all those uninsureds throughout the USA, who still will not have insurance coverage, even after the dust settles on the great healthcare debate.
The irony of the issue that's left out of these debates we’re fighting this very moment, is that most people in this country die from viruses that are freely contracted. Whatever then will all your money buy?

Stossel was doing the same thing when he was at ABC. Here, in Wisconsin, he attended a rally in Green Bay in the summer and said what I thought at the time were some very partisan anit-healthcare-reform comments. I wondered at the time why ABC didn't put their "reporter" on a leash. Now I know. He was planning to jump to Faux anyway.

It's sad, what happened to Stossel. He was once a true love of mine- an iconoclastic fool, the voice of reason over treason. He must have gotten a glimpse of Rash Limpboy's paycheck. Now he's a paid tool of the Dark Side. Pitiful, really.
