Actually, as many people have mentioned, the military HAS been infiltrated by subversive elements who want to bring down the US so that they can set up their own system in the ashes. These various groups include the white supremacists who have been encouraging their people to enlist so that they can get weapons and tactical training for the coming race war that they plan to start. There are numerous reports of white supremacist graffiti throughout most of occupied Iraq. In at least some cases the officers in charge of the various bases in the US and abroad have deliberately ignored the problem.

The other group that has infiltrated is the christianists with the support of the Pentagon. They have taken over the Air Force Academy and chased out any officer and chaplain who opposes their agenda. Their stated objective (see C St., the Reconstructionists, etc.) is to create a theocracy made in their own image and destruction of any vestiges of democracy.

There is some overlap between the two groups, but even if there weren't, I doubt that there would be much conflict since they have similar goals. The christianists have shown that they are flexible when it comes to tactics as The Family in Michoacan that is the most vicious narco organization in Mexico runs on Dobson's Focus on the Family playbook.

I think that besides Ron paul, Sue Myrick is the only other member of Congress who is prudent. She is a wide woman to be cautious. I can not say that for the other members.
