‘Penis Monologues’ Scribe Worked At Program To Recruit Female Spies

Stan Dai, the accused Landrieu phone tamperer who penned an anti-feminist parody called The Penis Monologues as a conservative activist in college, went on to work for a program designed to get women and minority students interested in espionage work.

Newsweek reports:

Ann Pauley, vice president of Trinity Washington University, acknowledged to NEWSWEEK that a key objective of the “Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence” at her school was to expose female and minority students to the kind of work spy agencies do and potentially interest them in becoming intelligence officers. Dai was associate director of the program between August 2007 and October 2008. “This program was set up to get minorities and women interested in intelligence careers,” said another person familiar with the program’s operations and goals …

Also worth watching if you missed it: this video of Dai holding forth on military science in the age of terrorism.

Meanwhile, the GW Patriot, the conservative paper that Dai edited in college and which ran the Penis Monologues, has now turned on Dai.

Current Managing Editor W. Hunter Patterson wrote in a blog post Wednesday:

Stan Dai has turned rather quickly from a funny way for our blog to get hits to a full on embarrassment. His actions and those of Mr. O’Keefe and others are both reprehensible and stupid. Myself, nor anyone else affiliated with the Patriot supports or ever has had any contact with Mr. Dai. We don’t think bugging phones or posing as a pimp is any sort of intelligent, thoughtful way to further conservative thought.
