If you say nothing else about Orly Taitz, say she is persistent.
Taitz, birther lawyer extraordinaire, last month tried to fight a $20,000 fine by appealing to the Supreme Court. Justice Clarence Thomas denied her appeal.
So this week, she re-filed the appeal, this time directing it to Justice Samuel Alito instead.

Taitz said last week that if one justice declines an application, it can be sent to another. The process can be repeated until it’s been before all the justices, she added.
A federal judge imposed the fine last year after becoming exasperated with Taitz’s constant filings questioning President Obama’s citizenship and right to be president. A U.S. attorney in Georgia recently sent Taitz a letter demanding she pay the fine.
