Embattled freshman Florida Rep. David Rivera (R-FL) raised just $75,374 in the first quarter of 2011, Federal Election Commission documents show.
The David Rivera for Congress committee ended the period with $67,670 cash on hand, but with $137,474 worth of debts.
Rivera’s short tenure has been seen its share of controversy, and state and local investigators in Florida are reportedly looking into the personal finances and campaign accounts.
In comparison, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), from Rivera’s neighboring district, raised $153,959 in the period, and has $882,365 cash on hand.
