Pamela Geller Planning Lawsuit Over Rejected Subway Ad Calling Israel’s Enemies ‘Savages’

Conservative activist Pamela Geller

Atlas Shrugs blogger and noted Islamophobe Pamela Geller says she will file a lawsuit against New York City’s MTA, after they rejected her subway ad calling Israel’s enemies “savages.”

The MTA, through its advertising division CBS Outdoor, rejected the ad on Monday, telling Geller that it violates their standards because it “demeans an individual or group of individuals,” according to the New York Daily News.

Here’s the rejected ad:

Geller wrote on her blog Monday that she will file a free speech lawsuit on Tuesday. “The MTA has run many controversial ads,” she wrote. “If they are anti-Jew, they better keep it to themselves. They don’t get to decide what is good and what is forbidden speech.”

According to Gothamist, Geller previously bought ads on city buses in opposition to the Park51 Islamic Center, dubbed the “Ground Zero Mosque” by opponents. The MTA initially rejected this ad, which depicted a plane flying into the World Trade Center opposite an image of the proposed center, and asked “Why There?”

The MTA eventually approved the ad after Geller threatened to sue.
