Former California Democratic Campaign Treasurer Kinde Durkee’s Mugshot Released

Kinde Durkee

TPM has obtained the mugshot of Kinde Durkee, the California campaign treasurer accused of pilfering money from campaigns, from the U.S. Marshals Service via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

Federal investigators have said that they are continuing to investigate Durkee, who so far has only been charged with stealing money from one California politician. Other Durkee clients have indicated that they’re missing money, and more charges are likely coming soon.

Meanwhile, the L.A. Times did some digging into Durkee’s lifestyle, finding that people described her “as modest, generous, pleasant and so ordinary they struggle to recall anything about her” and that her lifestyle “showed no sign of extravagance.”

“I never saw her driving a Ferrari. She lived a very non-pretentious life,” state Sen. Louis Correa (D) told the newspaper. “You see a persona and then you see this, and the picture doesn’t fit.”

Durkee’s mugshot is embedded below.
