Allen West To Host 'Controversial Screening of 9-11 Ground Zero Mosque Film'

Rep. Allen West (R-FL) is sponsoring a Capitol Hill screening of what his office deems a "controversial" film that labels the plan for the so-called Ground Zero mosque "yet another type of Islamic jihad."

West's office announced Tuesday that the Tea Party favorite would hold a press conference outside the Capitol building on Wednesday morning which would be followed by a screening of the film in the Rayburn House office building.

Mark Foley Appears With Local Young Republicans, Allen West

Former Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL), the ex-Congressman who infamously resigned in 2006 as a result of a scandal involving his sexually explicit instant message conversations with male Congressional pages, is making his way back out into the public eye. As the Palm Beach Post reports, he spoke last week -- at a meeting of the Palm Beach County Young Republicans.

In addition, the paper notes, he gave an introduction speech this past Tuesday for freshman GOP Rep. Allen West, who hails form a neighboring district, at the grand opening of West's district office in West Palm Beach.

FL GOP Poll Watcher Allegedly Records Information On Cell Phone

More allegations are surfacing against apparently untrained poll watchers, this time in Florida, where an early voter says a Republican poll watcher improperly used a cell phone to take pictures and record information.

David Woodward told TPMMuckraker that he went to Delray Beach City Hall yesterday afternoon to cast his ballot. There he says he observed a Republican poll watcher recording data on his cell phone from computer screens, information from a voter registration book and appeared to be taking pictures.

But he said the clerk who runs the polling station has denied that the man had a phone or that he was anywhere he wasn't supposed to be. Woodward is not satisfied with the response he has received.
