GOP Silence Update: Not a GOPer Was Stirring, Not Even Presidential Hopefuls

All GOP presidential contenders have been called for comment on the Goode affair, to no avail: McCain, Giuliani, Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney (R) (left a message), Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS) (left a message). I called the Republican National Committee, too -- no answer, but I left a message.

A couple readers suggested calling Sen. Gordon "This War May Be Criminal" Smith (R-OR), so I did. His Hill office was closed, but his Oregon office suggested I leave a message for his D.C. spokesman anyway.

Do you want to know the real reason why letters and comments similar to those of Rep. Virgil Goode (R-Va.) are made? Your reaction to his letter is a good example. Anyone anywhere anytime making a comment that is less than 100% positive about Muslim activists that try to impose Islam and Sharia law on us, or about Islam in general, or the radical groups in the Middle East and Europe is subjected malicious and defaming attacks in a public forum.

At the first of the year I tended not to react to your public silliness. Now as I learn more and more about Islam, CAIR, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbullah, Palsetine, Lebanon, Iran, ans else where the less tolerant I have become more alarmed by your group's antics, and those of similar groups. I am not an ignorant infidel reacting on pure emotion.

Good for Rep. Goode. It's about time that someone in our government tells the truth when it comes to the the religion of violence and terror.
I'm an American Indian, so much for the racism charge. You should be angry at the Muslim countries around the world where non-Muslims are being discriminated everday.
Where is the anger and tears for the young Christian girls who were beheaded by Islamofacists? The homosexuals who are beaten and killed everyday in Saudi Arabia? Or the women in Jordan who are being murdered for even looking at a man?
Islam wants to kill us all and take our land. Enolugh said!

Mr Goode...HORRAH I cheered when you talked about the Koran for swearing in of the Minnesota Muslim. Im from Minnesota and was greatly disappointed with him. We are AMERICA and IN GOD WE TRUST..Not that muslim? Keep up the good work..and NO APOLOGY as you stated. This is one point we have to put our toes into the ground and hold fast to keep these other bleeding hearts from caving in....Time is of essence..January swearing in time. THANKS SO MUCH Cloudymay
