Muslim Rep To Use Founding Father's Koran For Swearing-In

In an unsubtle rebuke to Rep. Virgil Goode (R-VA), Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) will be sworn in on an English translation of the Koran once owned by another Virginian... Thomas Jefferson.

I don't know who came up with this one but this is a lot better than taking the oath and then saying, "And Virgil can kiss my butt."

(snark)

Now y'all knows that there Jefferson fella was a damn, pinko-commie hippie, not a real American like this Goode fella. (spits and gives his suspenders a nice stretch)

he should extend a public invitation to Goode to attend his personal swearing-in.

A Bitch-slap is best delivered personally, face to face...

I can't agree with Steven Olson. Ellison should STILL say "And Virgil can kiss my butt."

I hear that Monticello actually sits in the Congressional District represented by - yep, Virgil Goode.

Nice hat trick.

Let me set the record straight Y'all...

with regard to Thomas Jefferson owning the Koran...it just goes to show you that he aint a real American patriot like President Cheney...I mean President Bush. What does Jefferson know anyway? I bet he voted Democrat...or maybe he goes both ways?!?! Grosses me out just thinkin' bout it!

Oh yeah...before I furget...about that Declaration of Independence....pinko-commie-rag!

nuff said.

Steven Olson and Dr. Zaius , i think we can suitably replace "butt" with "ass" to be adequately sitiuation-precise

It is my understanding that the Koran exists as a holy book in Arabic. Any translation of the Koran to another language is not the holy book.

Ben Franklin also expressed respect for Islam while raising money for a hall in Philadelphia which would allow any preacher of any religion or denomination to speak.

oh yeah and one more thing
correct me if im wrong
but isnt the koran just another add on
i thought that the muslim holy book was the old testament, the new testament, and the koran.
so why are all these people bitching? its pretty much the same thing
jesus Crist (no pun intended)
