Reid: Gonzales "Was Never The Right Man for This Job"
From Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV):
"Alberto Gonzales was never the right man for this job. He lacked independence, he lacked judgment, and he lacked the spine to say no to Karl Rove. This resignation is not the end of the story. Congress must get to the bottom of this mess and follow the facts where they lead, into the White House."

This conduct occurred without my knowledge or consent. While I do not believe this conduct was criminal, I do believe that it does not meet the high standards I have set for my government. Consequently, I conferred with several of the persons responsible for this conduct, including (Rove, Gonzales, etc), and they agreed voluntarily to resign. I hope we as a nation can cease additional investigation of these incidents and begin a healing process that will rejoin our divided country. Booyakasha."
"Alberto Gonzales was never the right man for this job"
Hypocrisy much? How did he get approved if he was never the right man for the job?

The man has done more damage to the DOJ than any other AG in recent history. It appears that Mr. Bush is heading a distinct minority in praising this looser!
