Good goobers, the man can't even write.

Poor grammar and poor judgment.
Can't write or use grammar check.

Wait, he doesn't leave until September 17. Three weeks is enough time to impeach him and make sure the door does hit him on the way out. In fact, even after he's gone, he can still be impeached to make sure he's ineligible for office in future administrations (yes, he could get back in as a future recess appointment). The one instance of the impeachment of a cabinet member took place when that member was already out of office.

As if chasing out another good and dedicated public servant is not good enough for you Bush haters? You really think an impeachment AFTER he leaves will go over well with historical low polling Congress has right now?

If people see that this is the fate that befalls public servants who stick to their guns, we're not going to be attracting top notch talent to the upper echelons of government any longer. Of course, that's already the case in the rest of government.

Rodney Lamprey, jr. wrote on August 27, 2007 1:05 PM:

That is so icky. Gonzales should have just finished the letter with "my head will always remain up your ass as long as it gives you pleasure, Alberto".

It seems that even Gonzales doesn't think he can get out of his perjury without resigning.

Why didn't Gonzales resign on September 11, the Bush holy day?

Rodney Lamprey wrote on August 27, 2007 1:16 PM:

Jake, Gonzales worked very hard to purge top notch talent from government. Gonzales himself is far from top notch talent.

I don't know about impeachemnt, but Gonzales should still be tried for criminal perjury. resigning of their job shouldn't absolve government officials from criminal conduct. that goes for Congressman Foley also.

This comipation of "Anonymous" poster's scholarly legal opinions sheds some light on Gonzales' departure:

If Gonzales violated any law, he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent, Rodney. Do you think Clinton violated any law? Do you think he should have been impeached?

Please stop feeding the troll. Thank you.

I thought the Mystery Poster on CREW ("Anonymous") was a false flag operation now?

Wait- I can't belive it came from Gongales becaues there is not one "I can't recall or I don't remember" in the letter. Those peskey Democrates must of forged it.

Andrew wrote on August 27, 2007 3:10 PM:

Jake - you clearly take partisan politics to a new level. Clinton lied about his personal life - George Bush and his appointments lied and lie about MY personal life, my American life. I could not be happier Gonzales is leaving.

" I remain by your side"
Ha !

See?

He's not gone.
Moved, maybe, but not gone.
Addington did most of the thinking that is credited to Gonzo, sounds like.

I read it. I threw up in my mouth.

Jake D. wrote on August 27, 2007 5:32 PM:

Andrew:

I dispute your contention that Bush and/or Gonzales "lied" about your personal life or anything significant either -- at least we know that Clinton ADMITTED that he lied -- were you similarly happy about young black males getting lynched in the South?

Jake,

You have to admit, this supporting Dear Leader stuff is getting harder and harder. Even his most loyal cronies are jumping ship. Soon they'll be just you, Dear Leader, and the Vice Dick.

All the best,

Winston

Josh, this is your victory as much as anyone else's. Thank you so much for all you have done. I can't afford that much, but I'm sending you some more tangible support via PayPal right now.
