Poor Senator Leahy; I do feel sorry for you. I can understand your desperation in dealing with serial liars on such a consistent basis.
However, accepting that this acknowledged criminal is appropriate as the AG, this borders on absolute failure to show sentient behavior.

We, the people, are deeply concerned about your current mental state. It is worth considering your having a mental exam to see what has happened to you in the last few weeks or months.

You, the person so many expect to help uncover truth, will happily vote for someone known to hide it?

You once made a promise not to agree to any new AG nominee until you received everything you asked for. Now you don't seem so concerned.

We, the people, are. You sir, are no longer in control, and serious questions about your cognitive abilities, or political sensibilities, or perhaps something far darker.

I am disgusted that you have caved in and will not require the criminal acts of this government, your government, to become public knowledge. This means you are now aiding and abetting.

I call for your resignation as incompetent, or worse, having been paid for your actions. It is reprehensible not to allow the people of this country to know. I for one, am now pretty much convinced that you are a paternalistic career politician that does not have principles valued by the people that voted for you. Seeing you do a 180 degree turn to allow a criminal to be appointed convinces me that you have been turned to the dark side.

i just couldn't bear watching after seeing louis freeh and joe lieberman and listening to chuck schumer's lathering up of mukasey in his opening remarks.

it's sickening to see this level of contempt for the constitution.
