You hear a lot about the administration's torture regime, but not a lot about the process of how we got to where we are.

Say hello to TPM alum and drinking buddy Spencer Ackerman at his new muckraking home, The Washington Independent. I look forward to civil lawsuits against government employees
violated the civil rights of prisoners-of-war.

I also look forward to civil lawsuits for property damage against The White House and 98 per cent of Congress who voted for the invasion of Iraq. I am also pessimistic given that the legislative and judicial branches have been merged into the executive branch.
