Fortune is out with a story today on California Senate candidate Carly Fiorina (R), reporting that she orchestrated unstable deals in an effort to grow the telecom company she lead in the 1990s as quickly as possible -- and make headlines.
Fiorina has run largely on her experience leading Hewlett Packard. But before she joined HP, she worked for a telecom company called Lucent Technologies.

The American Principles Project, founded by conservative Princeton professor Robert P. George as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, has partnered with its sister organization, the 501(c)(4) American Principles In Action, to promote a bus trip aimed at engaging Latino voters for Carly Fiorina's campaign for U.S. Senate called "Vote Your Values (Vota Tus Valores)." Both organizations originally made headlines by accusing President Barack Obama's Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Department of Education's Office of Safe & Drug Free Schools, Kevin Jennings, of promoting a "radical gay agenda" in schools.

The longtime Birther agitator and dentist who is now running for the GOP secretary of state nomination in California was a "special guest" of the Republican Jewish Coalition at the group's "annual summer bash" at the Beverly Hills Hilton Sunday. Also in attendance: GOP heavyweights Karl Rove, former Senator Norm Coleman, and California Senate candidates Chuck DeVore and Carly Fiorina.

Mark Meckler, one of two national spokespeople for the Tea Party Patriots, was recently paid $7,500 for "petition circulation management" by the "Citizen Power Campaign Supported by the Lincoln Club of Orange County," according to state disclosure records. Meckler's involvement with the campaign was first reported last month by the website Red County.
