The envelope, which contained what turned out to be baking soda, also contained a 32-page letter that disputed the charges, and used language associated with the sovereign citizen movement, according to prosecutors.

Brett Reese, who owns and manages a local radio station, plays the same commentary twice a day, every day. The commentary, which he reads, calls King a "sexual degenerate," an "America-hating communist" and a "plastic god."
He describes it as a letter he received from a listener three years ago. It can also be found on a web site, martinlutherking.org, which is run by the white supremacist group Stormfront.

In Colorado, convenience and grocery stores can only sell low-alcohol beer. Bars, restaurants and liquor stores can sell full-strength beer, plus wine and liquor. It's a two-tier system that was designed in order to keep full-strength beer away from fake-ID-toting minors who frequent convenience stores.

Mike Coffman (R-CO) criticizes the U.S. Army's recently released final report on the Fort Hood shooting, accusing it of "avoiding the role that radical Islam played in the killing of 13 American soldiers."
He calls on Gates, and the Department of the Army, to "update the report to accurately address this threat and detail what appropriate measures are necessary to counter it."

The artist who designed the billboard, Paul Snover, won't say who paid him $500 to create the image. But he did explain what the unidentified man wanted to say:
