A federal grand jury in Oregon indicted 24-year-old Cody Crawford on federal hate crime and arson charges for allegedly setting fire to a mosque. The fire followed the arrest of a Muslim man for allegedly plotting a terrorist attack on a Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

Rep. David Wu Formally Resigns From House

Oregon Rep. David Wu (D) announced Wednesday evening that he has notified Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber and House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) of his resignation, effective from 11:59 p.m.

Wu, who has been accused of having an "unwanted" sexual encounter with the teenage daughter of a campaign donor, announced that he would resign following a vote on the debt ceiling, which took place this week.

In Elaborate Prank, Oregon Lawmakers 'Rickroll' The State Legislature

Politicians often pledge to not let their constituents down. But one Oregon lawmaker has taken that pledge to a whole new level, as he and a few colleagues surreptitiously recited the lyrics to Rick Astley's 80s hit, "Never Gonna Give You Up" on the House floor.

The prank known as "rickrolling," emerged as an Internet meme a few years back, and involves tricking someone into clicking on a benignly disguised link to open a web page that blares Astley's unmistakeable song. The phenomenon became so ubiquitous that Astley himself rickrolled the Macy's Day parade in 2008.
