With all due respect, D. The Iraq war is far and away the biggest current waste of taxpayer dollars.
AOE is a big pork-hole, but it pales in comparison to the murdering, war-profiteering, keystone-kops-cum-imperialist exercise in futility that is the Iraq war.

Or we could actually talk about problems and issues facing this country and figure out who would be the be the best person to lead us through the long and perilous process of finding and implementing the solutions.
If we could do that Barack would still be the clear winner, and I could still stand to look at myself in the mirror in the morning.

Actually I give them a bit more credit than that.
There were really two songs. "More than a Feeling" and "Smokin'". Every other song they released was basically a new set of verses, or maybe a new instrumental bridge, for one of those two songs.

It is true that founder Tom Scholz did the original demos alone in his home studio, but the record execs forced him to put together a band and do a regular in studio performance.
Without this demand there probably never would have been such a thing as a Boston "concert", since Scholz is notoriously shy. Over their most popular albums the only constants in the band lineup were Scholz and lead singer Brad Delp.
So the band really is just Scholz and whomever he gets to help him out.

BTW, Any "independent conservative" that really believes his dogma would never have touched Hillary Clinton with a ten foot crucifix. She stands for Universal Health Care, Reproductive Choice, and Progressive Taxation, just to name a few. What type of "independent conservative" can get behind that?

As far as similar music goes, people are always pointing out King Crimson, Tesla, and even pale imitators like Starcastle, but for my money Kansas is the most similar in the most important ways:
- talent and virtuousity,
- interesting and experimental sounds and rhythms,
- and, most importantly, uplifting sweeping emotive music that is still unmistakably rock-and-roll.I fully expect to get flamed for this heresy, but, so it goes.
