  • NPR is what you consider to be "a very small sandbox"?

Well I took a look at your website, since you keep flogging it on here. Talk about your very small sandbox! All you write about is gossip and sex, and mostly about the failures of men. No wonder you rushed to the defense of Cindy of the Faux charities where she got her pill habit supplies for free.

Now she claims someone used too strong a handshake and hurt her so bad that she has had to go back on the pain pills. What a crock!

  • Senator Obama should stick to what he said early on, and focus on picking someone who is ready to take over as President.

Perhaps Biden fits that description. So does Senator Clinton.

I think he should pick a woman, Senator Clinton, Senator McCaskill, or Gov. Sibelius.

My real politics senses tell me that if he picks a man, then McCain will pick a woman, and given the nature of the outcome of the Democratic primary season, McCain would then pick up a large number of women voters. I think Obama has to protect that flank.

  • Iraq invasion was our worst mistake. The French tried their very best to stop us from committing it.

Tony Blair is still on the international stage. He is being pushed forward to play a key role in the Israel/Palestine situation. He is also seeking to become the first EU President.

  • McCain made a very snide remark about if you live long enough even a French president will come along that likes America. That is pure crap, and French bashing. Like I pointed out; France was the Midwife that delivered baby USA.

He was giving France a backhanded compliment.

Had the Bush/Cheney/McCain cabal taking the sincere and sound advice of France they would have been spared their Iraq Follies.

France was the good friend that tried to stop them from driving while intoxicated, while the Brits said sure you can drive, and I will ride shotgun with you on your power drunk rampage.

Time for America to apologize to France for treating it so poorly. They are our oldest and most genuine friend.

  • Reality Check #2

Which VP candidate; Lloyd Bentsen or Dan Quayle, would you say brought the most experience, intelligence, qualifications, and campaigning skills to their ticket.

Which one won, and became the VP.

When are people going to finally get it through their heads that votes are cast for or against the two at the head of the tickets. 'Twas ever thus.
Bush one picked a unqualified moron and Michael Dukakis picked this superb resume. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lloyd_Bentsen#1976_presidential_campaign

You know the rest of the story. Spare us all this constant nonsense about the need for a great VP pick. It makes no difference. If people like the head of the ticket best then they will accept having a Dan Quayle for VP over a LLoyd Bentsen.

  • Reality Check:

People vote for the Presidential Candidate. They do not cast their vote for the VP person on the ticket.

If someone was not willing to vote for Obama, then putting Senator Clinton on the ticket will not change their mind. Why would it. If you are not willing to vote for John McCain now, then tell me which VP candidate should he pick to convince you to vote for him. Common Sense 101.

  • I do not understand why Democratic candidates keep handling the abortion question in such a clumsy manner. All they have to do is say:

The Supreme Court of the United States has determined that a woman has a constitutional right to an abortion, and it has determined the limitations of when such an abortion can be performed. Since they have determined that it is a constitutional right, and I have sworn to uphold the constitution, I therefore have to support a women's right to choose, or violate my oath of office. Any president who does not do so, is in violation of their oath office.

Senator Obama needs to keep on making a statement like that. What he said at Saddleback came across as a cop out that would not please either side on the abortion issue.

  • Folks:

You are wasting your time and energy by focusing on this question. You will never come up with any concrete proof, and it is not a difference maker.
There is no smoking gun that would change the tide, anymore than there was in 2000 about Bush's military service. Focus on the big issues: Bread and Butter, and War and Peace. There is nothing to gain by chasing after tiny side issues that will not add up to a hill of beans.

We had Senator Clinton dead to rights on her Sniper story, and yet she ran much stronger after she got exposed. Keep you focus on the big issues.

Now, as far as how did Senator Obama do at Saddleback; he did what he set out to do. He showed up, and got his point of view out to the country. Forget about the reaction of the audience in attendance. They would never vote for him.

All you had to do was pay attention to their reaction to when McCain named the three people he looked up to.

When he said the name of the General in Iraq, the audience roared their approval. When he said John Lewis you could hear a pin drop. They could care less about the noble civil rights struggle of a distinguished civil rights hero. Then he mention the name of a business women, and you could still hear a pin drop. That audience may call themselves Christians, but they worship the war makers, and have no time for a distinguished black leader, or a distinguished Republican Woman.

Obama was talking to the more rational middle of the road followers of the Prince of Peace, and not to the Faux Christians in that audience.

Let it go, and keep your eyes on the prize.

  • Aside from the fact that she lost her only bid for elected office, she is registered to vote in Illinois, which means she can not be on the ticket with another resident of Illinois. Do some homework before wasting people's time with such nonsense.
