  • Every time she opens her mouth, I feel the need to yell at her and call her B---h.
She knows that her attempt to champion, the idea, that it is so wrong, to not allow the delegates to seat, and then she openly suggests that those voters will be hurt and will not vote.

No thanks to her constant harping

Then when she's confronted openly about her cheap political trick, to portray OBAMA as standing in the way of these, States voters FLA, Michigan

To Hillary: calling you a B---h, is not meant as a gender smear, I'd much rather the media would call you AS- ---E,

Rather than a gender smear, it is a term to recognize your attitude.

It is not that your a fighter, as George W kept saying in his term in office, the term B---h is the synonym, of an obstinate and Stubborn, my way or the highway, Woman, who would ruin if she cannot Rule.

I knew of Mother Theresa, and you Hillary, are not her.

  • Since when do we have to listen or accept teachings or rantings from someone who put party first rather than country.

I, for one am sick and tired of those shoving their form of Patriotism or Idol worship, claiming that only they have the truth.

We followed this blind patriotic fervor, and now were in Iraq. Not being able to withdawl, because we would be humiliated and the enemy would gloat.

Blind patriotism, just like the Nazi movement or the Brown shirts of Mussolini.

    Patriotism is a tool.

Just like Bush and Company, who have abused the volunteer Military for their POLITICAL GAMESMANSHIP, It shouldn't be to difficult to remind voters of the falsehoods and lies, covered by wrapping oneself in the Flag, covering the blood stained hands.

Maybe it's time to take back our country from the liars, who only claim, to defend, but prove that they abused their authority.

This is a much needed dialogue, in America.

  • The Democratic leadership (DNC), have once again got in the way. When they played their head game, claiming some control issue, "you'll not have your primary, earlier than we approve, or you'll lose the right to seat delegates"

It has now been proven, they can't even run a primary, how can they be entrusted to run a country?

Hillary is pointing this fact out, drawing attention daily, not because she really cares about unifying for the GENERAL ELECTION.

Only that she is grasping and pandering, even if it should occur that the Super delegates back Obama.

She'll remind people of Florida/Michigan, of how those states should stay home in protest. Because boo hoo.... (Put what ever excuse necessary, to allow her to win)

  • Fly on the wall quote: You wrote: When they turn to the economy, the candidates compete to denounce free-trade pacts and decry excessive corporate pay.

Are you suggesting that these are not contributing factors?

quote: they need to explain to voters how the Republican Party managed to derail the world's most powerful economy

I can assure you the Democrats are complicit in this derailment.

quote:Obama simply recites the standard litany of Democratic complaints: tax cuts, trade deals, Iraq, corporate lobbying, CEO pay, and outsourcing…
quote:You'll forgive me, senator, if I don't join you in blaming NAFTA for this recession.

It is you that is ignoring the outcome, of the decision to enact NAFTA. The politicians were warned; America was warned, about the giant sucking sound that Ross Perot spoke of. America’s leaders planted this SEED and it is now reaping.

quote: just that it's all Bush's fault..

He was the President for 2 terms, he had both House’s, rubber stamped everything. So unless you’re trying, in a vain attempt, to belittle the notion that under his watch he was not the culprit. Bush reminds many of President Hoover, whose, inaction, failed to lessen the impact of the Great Depression.

quote: Speaking about Clintons “laundry-list of popular policy proposals… The highlights include suspending foreclosures and adding green-collar jobs in the short-term, and then looking forward by addressing the energy crisis, investing in infrastructure and education, expanding unionization, reforming the tax code and health care, and encouraging saving for retirement.
None of them is more than remotely connected to the present crisis.

We have a mess and these are solutions, these are not the causes. I think a winning message is to remind the people that the Democratic Party spending revenue, on projects that directly benefit the working class, then and only then do we recover from the abuses of unfettered capitalism.

quote:FDR oversaw the passage of an extensive regulatory regime intended to insure that such a collapse could never happen again.

FDR did things to help the people, President Bush has shown time and again his focus is bailing out unprofitable business interests.

quote: We're plunging into a recession because Republicans removed the regulations that make our economy run smoothly. And, of course, its corollary: We can rebuild our economy by standing up to special interests, and passing rules to make the markets run freely and fairly…
He and his party are largely responsible for what's gone wrong; Democrats can make a compelling case that they can set it right.

I disagree. The American people are sick and tired of the blame game, the Democrats are complicit, and most people believe that both parties are crooked. If we adopt your so called winning strategy, it will be viewed as scapegoating , a weak, indefensible position. Blurring the distinction. What we need our solutions not accusations. FDR won multiple terms because he offered solutions.

quote: equal access to homeownership for all who can afford it.

Therein lies the rub, for all who can afford it? Do you not see, the poverty? Do those who have the ear of politicians, really care that people live in squalor, multiple Families in one household.. Shareholders aren’t impressed with charity. They’re attitude is GET your butts back to work, and if your families sick, deal with it on your own time.

quote: Transforming the debate requires three simple steps. The first is to pin blame where it belongs - not on NAFTA or the decline of unions or an inequitable tax code or an unaffordable war, but on a failure of regulation and on policies that fueled a housing bubble.

I disagree, with your pinning the blame ONLY on lack of regulation.

Not all purchasers of homes, were expecting home values to appreciate. Many were concerned that the demand was making it difficult to purchase. Who wanted to be at the mercy of Landlords demanding higher rents?

Historically, the middle class through Unionization, had the leverage to ask for wage increases, to cover inflation.

Had the ARM's held stationary, the housing meltdown would have occured, as a result of inflation, and gas prices up, food prices up, education up, energy prices up. What are your solutions to those contributing factors? Highe wages?
No pressure could be exerted to increase wages.. Higher wages could have changed the dynamics, then it’s possible to meet the monthly payments.

Instead the Federal Reserve decided to raise interest rates, in an attempt to dampen, demand for higher wages.
SEE now how they screwed up, and is BACKING THE RATES DOWN. What was so imperative, that they increased them months earlier?
Homeowners could have stayed in the homes, had the ARM’s stayed low; in that event you wouldn’t have seen AS MANY foreclosures, and then a meltdown of prices.

Regulation in the mortgage industry, could have been reapplied, incrementally, without the death dealing sudden stop.

How would you reign in excessive CEO compensation? Yet the workers haven't received wages enough to cover inflation?
How do we reign in a President, who favors bailing out failed business concerns, rather than keeping Families, children, protected from the elements. Children in stable homes, being educated.
What is the Presidents plan for this disruption?

    Winning Plan
The Democrats stand for what families value, the value of home ownership.

  • American King James Version
And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume
all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

    ALL These Kingdoms

Now if the Preacher Wright, had said: One of these Kingdoms to be destroyed, is the Anglo-American World Power, he would have antagonized the religious right.

Much like when the Scribes and Pharisee class objected to hearing, the temple would be destroyed, and the leaders called it blaspheme. Invoking the right to crucify the messenger.

Posted at March 16, 2008 10:06 PM in response to So White People Can Freely Talk About Black Problems Angrily...and Blacks Can't?

  • Hillary has just shown that she didn't even pass the threshold test, of protecting and defending, our civil liberties.

My point is this; What preacher Wright stated, should have been a test for all the candidates.

When and if it should occur, that someone or group say's something, and some opposing group demands a "crucifixion".
Yet some claiming a right to be called leaders, hide themselves for fear of alienating the perceived Politically correct class.

Like the "Love it or leave it crowd" of the 60's, or those who found that God Da... is worst than God bless, when in reality, God is not caught up in the petty squabbles of Earthly politics. Probably offended, of association, with any group. Damners or blessers.

How long before we end up like Rwanda, Kenya, and our leaders being afraid, to speak up and protect everyone’s right of opinion, and that's exactly what the preacher was expounding. His opinion.

Those bent on finding fault, with Obama, guilty by association. "You're one of them."

Would our current candidates be so afraid to defend against reprisal? Or did they sit back and say, "I'm glad it's him, not me? Or thank God this may work in my favor"

Then you begin to understand, what it means to protect and defend. Not only your positions and opinions, but also the rights of others, who you may oppose, and disagree with.

This was a perfect example: when the rubber met the road, some of our candidates were more worried about perception, rather than defending everyone’s rights.

When our nation starts the blame game, and pressure mounts, I can assure you, many will suffer, because some of our leaders were cowards and we saw first hand how they responded.

It may be that McCain, after days of political persecution of Obama, showed he finally understands, but if the situation had turnd deadly as some nations have found, Mccains failure to make a statement earlier rather than days later, would be little comfort for the sufferers.

    Where is Hillary?

  • I am very disappointed, in what is being pushed down our throats as leaders.

From what I understand, Clinton had no comment.
Does anyone know of McCains position?

My point is this, it should have been a test for all the candidates.

Which one could have brought calm and wisdom, intead of political positioning to stay out of it.
