  • You'd think that someone in Congress might come up with a law that required all government contractors to waive fifth amendment rights (narrowly, only in application to their contract) at least so far as congressional investigations are concerned. The idea that you can be paying someone for a service and they reserve the right to withhold information from you (the people of the USA being the ultimate contractor) about how those services are delivered would never fly in any other context.
