Reguarding 'Geronimo'
I guess McCain does not talk too often to his spokesperson, Brian Rogers, who said this last Tuesday, September 16th,"But McCain spokesman Brian Rogers said he didn't see the relevance of Fiorina's history. "We're talking about Freddie and Fannie and CEOs...more »

Cheney lied in private the anti-war Dick Amery, using false documents. Cheney lied to the American people about the necessity of war with Iraq. Cheney has lied about so many subjects.
Cheney has been the seat of the power grabs for the 'unitary executive branch' which he sometimes claims not to be a part of, as it is convenient for whatever current argument he is advancing.
So the 'Publicans are sending him down to get the troops in line with the President's economic power grab, to send a 'clean' bill (already larded with presidential power pork) to the President post haste. Humm. What lies will Cheney tell this time??
My guess is: Cheney will get them to cave (in a 'bi partisan reach across the aisle', to allow 'Congressional oversight' of the bail out by placing appointees on the boards of directors of the firms the bail out - wing nut welfare for Paulson in 4 months and all those lobbyists on McCain's campaign.
Then Cheney will lie and say it is a liquidity problem, not an asset valuation problem, and so the taxpayers should buy up all the toxic paper, for cents on the dollar. Cheney, lying again will say that the taxpayers stand to make good money when the loans are resold. What Cheney won't say, the lie of omission, is that the solution will be inflation, that will diminish our debt to China, wipe out nest eggs all over the place, cause more mortages (and thus banks) to go belly up, and in the end, massive unemployment - a real depression. My thoughts.

"While the event is open, organizers are asking that people attend in support of Palin and McCain.
“If you don’t, we’re encouraging you not to come,” Pierre said. “We’re Alaskans first here.”
Does this mean that there are no Alaskan Democrats? Or is this more of the secessionist diatribe? Or maybe Princess Palin only governs Republicans? Whatever. Stinks. Guess they can't handle a bit of freedom of speech or freedom of association.

Maybe his glasses either were misplaced, or needed a new correction would be more 'credible' from a Harvard Law grad? These ivy league schools should insert ethics into their curricula, or fire those who already teach it, because it plainly isn't working.

John McCain was not tortured, he was the victim of intense interrogation, not torture. His president and his MCA say so.
How are we going to get McCain to stop playing both sides of the torture card?

The obvious reply to "Obama thinks Iran is a tiny country" is "McCain thinks Iraq boarders on Afghanistan, by some magical or enfeebled thinking making Iran non-existent".

“This caught us totally by surprise,” said one military officer who tracks events in the region, including the American-Georgian training effort. “It really knocked us off our chairs.”
Which is pretty unbelievable given this: Before the Gunfire, Cyberattacks and
Researchers at Shadowserver, a volunteer group that tracks malicious network activity, reported that the Web site of the Georgian president, Mikheil Saakashvili, had been rendered inoperable for 24 hours by multiple D.D.O.S. attacks. They said the command and control server that directed the attack was based in the United States and had come online several weeks before it began the assault.
As it turns out, the July attack may have been a dress rehearsal for an all-out cyberwar once the shooting started between Georgia and Russia. According to Internet technical experts, it was the first time a known cyberattack had coincided with a shooting war.
Notice "comnmand and control server that directed the attack was based in the U.S,"
Yeah. We knew the attack was going to be made to happen, the only question is why. My guess is: to make Mc$ame look presidential.

From the ruling:
The court ruled Cheney and the others were acting within their official capacity when they revealed Plame's identity to reporters.
Government employees who engage in questionable acts, such as abusing prisoners at the Guantanamo Bay facility or engaging in defamatory speech, cannot be held individually liable if they are carrying out official duties, the court said.
"The conduct, then, was in the defendants' scope of employment regardless of whether it was unlawful or contrary to the national security of the United States," Appeals Court Chief Judge David Sentelle wrote in the opinion.
Sovereign immunity. And a taste of how the Guantanamo abuses will go down if they are ever tried.
