  • He is a cancer, indeed.
Although personally, I prefer to think of Rove as a boil on the ass of the body politic, one in need of a thorough lancing.

  • Karl Rove's philosophy from his own lips- Rove cares about Rove, via the aggrandizement of the Republican Party & the neocons' ascendance to & stranglehold on power.

Ergo, Rover doesn't need to even pretend anymore that he gives two shits about the people on the Gulf Coast, nor does his pal Georgie Bush.

I lost some former neighbors in that last one, you f_cker.

  • "Why Didn't DOJ Name Cheney in Stevens Filing?" (I'm assuming you meant the question to be rhetorical)

Ah, those nicknames for BushCo's DOJ.....

    Dept. of InJustice
Dept. of "We Used To Count On It For" Justice
    Dept of Just Us.

  • Hey thanks, John, and what could be better than a revelation of your ill-timed pecadillos right now.

  • And where is AGMM in all of this? Mukasey doesn't seem to be getting much of a boot out of this latest set of IG revelations about corruption in DoJ. Hang on long enough, Mikey & it'll all blow over. Cass Sunstein says it should...

Mikey Mukasey- a smarter version of AG Fredo, & his equal as a BushCo enabler & politicization coverup artist.

  • Another end run suggestion- Anything preventing Waxman from issuing a subpoena to Patrick Fitzgerald and asking what Cheney testified about? Besides the above cited huevos issue, I mean.

  • Time for a Congressional end run around these rampant b.s. claims of executive privilege. How about starting impeachment proceedings on AG Mukasey. Subpoena the interview as evidence that he solicited a false claim of executive privilege from the president as a means to prevent his compliance with a lawful congressional subpoena.

Won't happen, I know. Congressional Dems don't have the huevos to even think of it, much less attempt it.

  • You mean the ones full of sound & fury that end up signifying nothing? (apologies, Will)

Yeah, time for several of those, while Rove continues to thumb his nose. What would happen if you or I didn't show up for supoenaed testimony?

Herr Rove seems to be above the law. Because he is allowed to be by Congress.

  • BushCo legacy- dumbing down/politicization of every effing Fed dept. They leave in '09, we're stuck with it.

Some great legacy you got there, Georgie. It'll take a decade maybe, if the next Admin. gets right on it, just to get DoJ back to the way it was when GWB first set foot in the WH.

  • I guess the House Demleadership who pushed this through don't realize what this unnecessary capitulation will do to their personal financial aspirations, which it seems, is all they really care about. That & the coverup of their complicity with BushCo.

Good luck in the next few yrs. on both, for allowing this shredding of our Constitutional rights.
