  • How much of the quarter-mil-plus $$$ is for an accountant, to keep track of how many homes he owns?

"I have people to keep track of stuff like this, they'll get back to you."

For most Americans in the Bush economy, losing a home is a nightmare. For McCain? He can lose track of a home all the time, no biggie.

A few more or less, what's the difference? Hey, if you get forclosed, just buy another!

  • Oh, like history ever got in the way of a Cecil B. deMille film.

I heard the "fish in the dirt" story in Rome, while on a tour of catacombs, in the late 80's.

But wait! It happened in ROME, in ~100AD?

John McCain WAS THERE! So how can we doubt him?

    "CUI" as in "CUI BONO?"

Answer that, and you'll know why.

Good advice. Don't want to mess up the fingerprints that are on those papers. They might be evidence someday.

  • Hasn't the Statute of Limitations run out for Vitter? And if so, how could he possibly plead the 5th (well, he can TRY, but it shouldn't work).

IIRC, the only reason that it isn't Vitter in the dock is that the clock has run out on prosecuting him.

...unless there's something NEW that Vitter wants to keep hidden.

Let it all hang out, Diaper Boy!

  • What's needed is a law that mandates the air and water quality in the Whitehouse and the EPA director's office. Namely:

"the levels of all pollutants should be at the maximum level allowed by law. "

and hopefully that will result in a change of attitude from 'what can we get away with?' to 'Oh god, how can anyone live in this shit?'.

Yeah, an impractical dream. But imagine the spit-take when Cheney finds out what's in his water glass...

  • zuch,
    yes, Bush's approval is implied.

But I think that it's important to get Bush's approval of past waterboarding on the record, explictly, publically and undeniably.

I mean, this is an *obvious* follow-up question; too bad our media can't be bothered to ask it.
